Good news today is that LibertyReserve was available for a couple of hours and we could all log into our accounts and check our balances. My account was ok and I hope this test stage will be over soon and the site will be fully functional again.

For those who are not aware here’s the latest update from LibertyReserve blog about the current state of things:
“We have more than one solution in place, and are trying to select the most efficient one. Please rest assured that Liberty Reserve is going to be back up very soon as all resources and all available man power is being utilized to make sure we have the safest and most reliable solution. Unfortunately decisions of this importance can not be made on a fly and without extensive research. We are looking for a permanent solution that will prevent all future outages related to DDOS attacks. This process is slow, but very rewarding at the end. On behalf of all of Liberty Reserve staff I would like to thank everyone for your kind words of support and your patience.”

I’m glad that they are finally looking for a permanent solution to avoid further DDoS-attacks from happening again. But I still can’t understand why it will take such a long time and why they were so slow in understanding that these attacks are a very serious matter and should be treated seriously. I hope LR staff learnt this lesson well and will provide their site with top-notch anti-DDoS protection. Only this way they will be able to overcome the members’ mistrust and keep whats left of their credibility intact.

As you can imagine there’s not much news to report today. I received my payment only from 12Daily.Pro to e-gold as with other programs I used LR for depositing. But from now on I will try to diversify and when LR is back up and fully functional I will put some funds into AlterGold instead.
