Hello everyone, and welcome once more to the MNO blog<\/a> where I share my knowledge and experience on the hottest and most talked about online investment opportunities for over thirteen years now. The HYIP industry, its trends and peculiarities is what I specialize in and which I’m willing to share on my blog without any of the limitations or hidden agendas others might have. You would agree that the HYIP industry in its current shape and form would be hard to imagine without cryptocurrencies. So, before getting into today’s news updates from the MNO monitor<\/a> listed programs I would like to present the second most popular cryptocurrency for HYIP investments. Meet Ethereum!<\/p>\n

The very first and obvious first question we can’t continue without addressing is what exactly is Ethereum anyway?<\/strong><\/em> What is it for and how to use it? It’s too easy to simply say \u201cit’s just like BitCoin<\/em>\u201d and leave it at that. Where it’s true that there are some definite similarities between Ethereum and BitCoin, it’s equally true to say there some marked differences as well. It’s also not as old as BitCoin, having come online about five years later. Unlike BitCoin where the identity of its creator remains a mystery and closely guarded secret (the name Satoshi Nakamoto is merely a nom de plume<\/em>, created as a reference point for whoever the real person may be), the creator of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin, is quite famous and a public figure who has been interviewed many times on mainstream international news programs and talk shows.<\/p>\n

But let’s start with the basics. Ethereum is, among other things, a decentralised online cryptocurrency<\/strong><\/em>. There’s more to it than just that, but for the sake of this article and the place of Ethereum in the HYIP industry then that’s the aspect we need to concentrate on here. Also, I want to say this early because it’s one of the most important points I need to emphasize to HYIP investors, the Ethereum currency, called Ether, is on BlockChain the same as BitCoin<\/strong><\/em>. I think this needs to be noted because I think a lot of you who may not currently be using Ethereum may at least be a bit more familiar with BitCoin and the BlockChain wallets. So with the currency on blockchain.com it doesn’t really take a whole lot of effort on your part to get set up with a wallet if you already happen to be using BitCoin there anyway.<\/p>\n

If you think back a few years to before cryptocurrency was even a thing, you always had a central authority involved with moving your money from A to B. That would usually be your bank or credit card company, or maybe PayPal in later years once the internet became a full-on global utility. In the HYIP industry the best example of this would be PerfectMoney. But essentially still a government issued and controlled currency. Decentralised currencies then removed the need of the individual to rely on third party authorities and what ever snooping questions they could demand from you in order to move your own money around. You could call it a sort of DIY do-it-yourself approach.<\/p>\n

I won’t go into too much detail on the creation of Ethereum because it’s similar to BitCoin which was already covered in a previous article<\/a>, and also because it’s not what I’m looking to achieve with this introduction. I’ll just repeat that it’s mined in blocks by miners<\/strong><\/em> whose computers are put to work solving complex cryptographic problems. New coins, or Ethers as they are known in this case, are created in each Ethereum block and finally get distributed by the miners into the wider network. The miners in turn are entitled to claim transaction fees with each block as payment for their efforts. The Ethereum platform has thousands of independent computers running it meaning it\u2019s fully decentralized. Once a transaction is deployed to the Ethereum network these computers will make sure it executes as written.<\/p>\n

So how does it operate might be your next question. In the simplest possible terms I can come up with, the Ethereum coding language, known as Solidity, is used to write \u201cSmart Contracts<\/strong><\/em>\u201d. Think of a contract as a set of obligations which two people agree to provide for each other, like a buyer and a seller establishing a set of conditions and actions. For example if I have a contract to pay a utilities company $100 per month, their half of the deal is to give me water, heating, and electricity. If I don’t pay them the money then they won’t deliver the service, likewise if they fail to deliver an acceptable service then I won’t be paying them anymore and will take my business elsewhere. That\u2019s more or less how smart contracts work on Ethereum. Ethereum developers write the conditions for their program and then the Ethereum network executes it. They are called smart contracts because they deal with all of the aspects of the transaction \u2013 enforcement, management, performance, and payment. For example, if I have a smart contract that is used for paying my utility bills, the service company no longer needs to actively collect the money from me. The contract itself knows if the money has been sent, that’s why they call it \u201csmart\u201d. If I indeed sent the money, then I continue receiving services. If I miss my payment, my electricity gets turned off.<\/p>\n

And that is essentially the core difference between BitCoin and Ethereum. Where BitCoin is designed and intended as a decentralised electronic alternative to cash, Ethereum is designed to allow users to program these so-called smart contracts<\/strong><\/em> that allow for a greater degree of flexibility. All of this is good to know depending on what your intended use of cryptocurrencies is, but not essential to know of all you are using them for is to play the HYIP industry and turn it back into hard currency dollars in your pocket again at the end. There are many other differences of course, things like confirmation times, mining hardware, total supply of coins, and so on. But again for the purposes of just getting started with Ethereum for the purposes of investing in the online HYIP industry you don’t really need to concern yourself too much with any of that unless of course you have a genuine interest in such things.<\/p>\n

Hopefully that will give you a better understanding of the fundamentals of what Ethereum is all about, basically a network of computers working together to replace the centralized model of programs that make up the internet today but also with it’s own cryptocurrency at the core.
