Last item to discuss for today before we wrap things up is the results of the most recent MNO readers opinion poll on the TalkBack<\/a> page. I’ll be replacing this with a new question as usual, more on that in a moment.<\/p>\n

So in the last poll I was making the point that you can have several good, solid, paying programs online at the same time without any of them being a clear and obvious industry leader. At the moment for instance, there’s a few decent programs where plenty of investors have already made a profit. But not one single program that stands out as the sort of \u201cindustry giant<\/em>\u201d which would inspire a massive rise in entire HYIP industry wide confidence. Or at least not yet anyway, these things tend to come and go as the months pass by.<\/p>\n

With that in mind I was wondering what MNO readers thought about this scenario. Results were predictably mixed given that we’re only now emerging from one of the longest downturns in HYIP industry history, but I’m pleased to see that the mood is generally more optimistic. I know that I’ve often used the old expression \u201ca rising tide floats all boats<\/em>\u201d on my blog<\/a> before to describe the situation where all it really takes is just one single giant program that everyone is happy with and has confidence in for a dozen other smaller programs to benefit and thousands more investors to profit even more.<\/p>\n

The exact question put to readers went as follows: When will we see the next big leader of the HYIP industry emerging?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The single biggest response with 40%<\/strong> of the vote, and remember that no specific programs were named in the poll, was that \u201cIt’s already online, it will be popular at the right time<\/em>\u201d. 30%<\/strong> took a more cautious view, but are still hopeful of a good industry wide recovery once the Covid pandemic is more closely under control when voting \u201cIn a few months from now, only when pandemic ends<\/em>\u201d. Meanwhile at the polar opposite end of the scale 20%<\/strong> of you seem to be somewhat pessimistic about what 2021 has in store, though honestly I don’t see why since there’s been a noticeable improvement already. But anyway, the view expressed here is that \u201cThis year will not have any definitive leaders at all<\/em>\u201d. And finally the remaining 10%<\/strong> of you are expecting a swifter recovery by voting \u201cWithin a few more weeks, it’s already in the making<\/em>\u201d. As always there’s no right or wrong answers, just opinions based on observances and experience, we’ll see whose views were the most accurate in due course.<\/p>\n

For the next question on the MNO TalkBack<\/a> page I want you to consider a possibility raised by the soon-to-launch program GiantSquid<\/a> which as I mentioned above is now hoping for a launch date of February 15 after weeks of ongoing development work. Anyway, the strangest thing about GiantSquid<\/a> is that it only accepts one currency as a payment method. Now, this in itself is not all that unusual, indeed there have been many successful programs which worked exclusively with BitCoin in the past. In fact the number one program in the industry at the moment is QubitTech<\/a> with only two payment options and this has done nothing to hinder their popularity. But what’s unusual about GiantSquid<\/a> is that their sole choice of payment option happens to be Tether<\/em>, which there’s absolutely nothing wrong with other than no really having much of a foothold in the HYIP industry. In the years since cryptocurrencies in general started taking off among admins and investors I have to say I never remember anyone expressing a preference for Tether<\/em> or any serious transactions going through it. And remember I’m speaking as a monitor here so I would have reason to be aware of that and would note it if I saw it.<\/p>\n

Now, taking GiantSquid<\/a> out of the picture for a moment, this question has nothing to do with them directly, would this situation be a hindrance for you joining any program? I suppose we all like choice, but is a program only offers one option, and that option was the one you were going to pick anyway, does the absence of let’s say PerfectMoney bother you that much if you didn’t even want it in the first place?<\/p>\n

Or on the other hand, what if you really like the look of a program, really like your chances of making some good money out of it, and then discover that your first choice payment method isn’t available? What would you do? Would you take the trouble to open an account or wallet with a new service provider in order to join? Or would you just forget the whole thing and keep looking for something else?<\/p>\n
