25/01/08. What happened to STP?
Hi, guys! It seems that once again today SolidTrustPay was inaccessible for all of us so the sites that accept STP as their payment processor were affected. They couldn’t process withdrawal requests of course. And now I would like you to pay attention to BlessingGlobeFund, as the program suffered less than others because the admin couldn’t manage to implement the feature allowing STP deposits before STP was hit by DDOS-attack. Though he promised to add it as soon as STP is back online.
Here’s the official update from STP Support Team:
“Dear Members, Yesterday, at 2:00pm EST the STPay site began to experience an unusual slow down. Our tech team thought it was a server issue, so began to check resources and do updates. We re-installed and upgraded the main server areas, but the issue continued. At 3:00am EST our webhost determined that a massive DDOS attack was suspected and preventative measures brought to full readiness. At 2:00pm EST today the largest DDOS attack that our webhost (RackForce) has ever seen was launched against SolidTrustPay. It began in Indonesia but is now centred out of Bucharest, Hungary. Via various proxy servers, attacks are coming from other areas most likely by a large network of interconnected computers. Our webhost has blocked all access to the site until the attack can be stopped. The attack is so huge that it has affected the Shaw cable main trunk line (an ISP provider serving all of Western Canada).
As soon as we have determined that the attacks are completely blocked, we will open up access to the site again. We are working around the clock with RackForce and Shaw Cable to bring this attack to an end. ALL member accounts are completely safe. We ask for your patience and understanding while we deal with this onslaught of hatred against us. All major companies come under such attacks….we have been fortunate in avoiding a DDOS thus far and this one will be severely dealt with.
Any merchants needing assistance or any members with questions are welcome to use the following email addresses for communication. We do ask that only truly necessary emails be sent. You are also welcome to pass this message along. solidtrustpay@xplornet.com (xplornet is our ISP internet provider) solidtrust@xplornet.com support@solidtrust.info“.
By now you can check your balance from the mirror site www.solidtrustpay.net but it is not set up to be used as more than a development/testing site for STP. Please do not use this site to make any deposits, withdrawals or transfers. I logged in and viewed my balance. Everything was ok fortunately. So now we should wait for the main site to return soon. The latest update about it from Stella (representing STP) is the following: “We do expect the site to be back up within 24 hours….hopefully not much longer than that. All existing deposits and withdrawals are being done as usual, with no delay. Account verifications are continuing as well and continue to be within our 72 hour time frame for completion. Thank you all for your support, emails and phone calls of encouragement. A life with no problems means…….you’re likely 6 feet under!” For now I can see only the message that cPanel has been installed on the site and it means that it will be back soon.
Meanwhile many admins just delayed payouts to STP because of this. Below are some updates from the admins whose programs were affected by sudden DDOS-attack on STP.
“We’re still waiting for SolidTrustPay to overcome the DDOS attack they are under. All members have been paid, with the exception of payments going to STPay“. (Jeff, the admin of QXLsurf).
“I couldn’t load the STP site since the past 2 days, well…I guess I just need to wait until it is accessible“. (Larry, the admin of AttractiveAds).
“I was able to process a few STP payments but the site sometimes loads very slowly or not at all. All other payments are being processed ahead of schedule“. (Jamie, the admin of PSTraffic)
I just hope that STP will be back in the next 24 hrs as promised. It’s one of my main processors now and I don’t like it to be down for such a long time.
Other news for today.
Last night I noticed that GreenLinkAds was offline for several hours. But there’s no need to worry because admin Bayu has already credited all members’ accounts that were not able to surf for yesterday. Also he announced today some exciting news about upcoming changes: “Now GLA is back up again so members can do surfing smoothly. I missed calculation about date and time. My work takes all my time and this condition makes me working extra, so too many things in my mind now. I have a new plan for GLA. I promised all of you before that I will always make GLA growing and bigger each day. The plan for GLA is on the way. But I will announce the Plan at 27th so watch guys. Now I will back to my works and my plan for GLA. Just wait for my announcement“. Well, I will watch for this surprise closely and will report on my blog what new plan it is and if it’s worth joining.
Good news for the members of SurfMargin and MultiStreamOnline! It seems that the funds for payouts are available in Charles’ STP account and he is only waiting now when STP is available again to resume the payouts. Here’s the update regarding it from Cliff, the admin of MultiStreamOnline forum that started working just recently:
“I have word from the partners wednesday that we now have access to all the funds required to pay out everyone’s pending balances in full. At this point the STP issues are the only thing that is preventing the payouts to resume because Charles sends them through his STP account, which as you read above is safe. The timing is bad for everyone… but the money is there, the accounts are safe, and STP is being worked on right now. A lot of effort has gone into preparing the new programs here for you, the members, and that level of effort means a big commitment to you that I know STP shares. Sometimes it seems like a challenge comes right before a breakthrough to make people earn their progress, and it seems just as SurfMargin and SMSO are ready to prove their mettle, it comes STP’s turn. They will emerge the better for it, and we are all ready to get past all this. When this kind of thing happens, some people get upset/ scared and some get focused. I know what the partners have done when the chips were down and I bet I know what the people at STP will do. If anyone sees any other updates on any forums etc regarding STP please include them here for reference for everyone, I would appreciate it in case I miss them, and I’ll do my best to keep everyone up to speed“.
There are also rumors on the forums not confirmed by Charles himself yet that the site percentage will be reduced from current 140% to 125% in SurfMargin and from current 130% to 120% in MultiStreamOnline. Anyway, things took a turn for the best here and I will keep you updated regarding the situation with payouts.
In the end I would like to remind you that today is the payout day in AttractiveAds so don’t forget to request your cashout. And I will see you tomorrow with more (hopefully good) news.
