SURFS-AHOY HAS SOME DELAYS WITH PAYOUTS CURRENTLY! PLEASE DON’T INVEST UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!
Hi guys! Today I have to say I’m really pleased to bring you this interview. It’s with Derek Velasco, the admin of one of the most exciting new autosurfs launched this year. It’s called Surfs-Ahoy, but I’m sure many of you are already aware of that, given the growing enthusiasm of surfers for this quality program. But just to re-cap, Surfs-Ahoy pays you 13% daily for eleven days of surfing. For more detailed analysis and my own personal opinion you can always refer back to my original review, published here.
I will also remind you that Surfs-Ahoy has recently made its first payment on expiry to its members and as is the policy of money-news-online you will only see interviews with admins of proven sites, unlike some other sites that publish interviews before the site has proved itself reliable. You will never see this on my site, only the most up to date and dependable information. So let’s hear from Derek.
“1. Hi Derek. Please introduce yourself to the readers of money-news-online. Who are you and what you are doing in Surfs-Ahoy? Do you have any experience in running an online program?
Hello Paul and hello to your avid readers too. I am Derek Velasco and I am administering Surfs-Ahoy. This is my first ever program and I’m proud of myself that I was able to provide a better earning opportunity for the online public.
2. Can you also give us some background information on Surfs-Ahoy? Why did you open your own program and what are you hoping to achieve with it? Are you running this alone or do you have a partner or assistant?
I was actually content as being a member and simple investor before but after some brainstorming and considering my own capabilities, it lead me to open up Surfs-Ahoy. As for the site’s name, I was munching some chipsahoy cookies at the time and had a look at the label and hey presto, the name Surfs-Ahoy was conceived. I am hoping to give the players a kind of a program where they will be the ones who will decide its longevity and I will only act as the manager and supervisor, simple as that. If they will be supporting the program all the way, I don’t see why it wont live up to everyones expectations. As of now I am managing it alone but I’m open to the idea of having an assistant when the need arises in the future.
3. Explain the plan in Surfs-Ahoy in detail. What are the returns? What are the minimum and maximum amounts I can invest? How many sites will I need to surf in order to be paid. What happens if I miss a day surfing? What payment processors are you dealing with right now?
Surfs-Ahoy is a program suited for this internet era of high tech advertising through the autosurfing platform which is familiar to veterans in this field. We offer a nice return of 13% for each day of surfing for 11 days generating a total of 143% ROA. Members can join with a minimum of $5 and are required to surf 10 sites in the rotation to earn the daily rebates. They can advertise 5 of the sites which they are promoting and the program doesn’t pay for missed surfing days unless the member has a valid reason and has relayed it through the support link in time. Ive been generous so far in giving surf holidays for that matter. ..but don’t abuse it please. I would very much appreciate if members would surf daily to their best efforts so I would be relieved of some extra duties attending to such “missed surfing days” cases.
Surfs-Ahoy is currently accepting funds via LibertyReserve, StrictPay and AlertPay and we will stick to the original plan of adding STP once they had verified our account. It disappointed me a bit that STP is somehow very slow in the process lately. Its not speedy like it was before when my personal account was verified within just two days only. Lets enjoy the program anyway with what is available to us at the moment.
4. Now that the first payouts on expiry have been made I notice that you must remain an active member to request a payout. Even if it is just $5, has it helped eliminate hit’n’runners?
The main objective for that rule is for members to have a habit of staying with the program. $5 is just chicken feed for the hit’n’runners of course and we must face the fact that no program can eliminate them. Consider it as a contrived move to encourage them to trust the site and stay as an upgraded member for the duration of the program’s life. I am hoping the rule would somehow become an exercise of confidence in the program as time goes by.
5. I see a popular trend with some surfing sites recently is to add a “non-surfing” option almost like an HYIP. What is your opinion of this and why don’t you offer such an option?
Surfs-Ahoy is a MEMBERS’ PROGRAM and it will stay that way. If the majority of them would be affirmative for the addition of such a plan then why not. I am gradually becoming adept in handling the admin panel as days go by and I think that won’t pose any considerable burden on my part as an admin. It is really up to the members if they want a “non-surfing” plan added. I haven’t received a request for an inclusion of a plan like that at the moment.
6. How secure is Surfs-Ahoy? What script are you using? Are you on a dedicated server? Who is your hosting provider? I know you were the victim of a DdoS attack already. Are you satisfied with how they handled this?
I feel secure and satisfied with CIF Hosting right now with the DDoS filter on the side protecting Surfs-Ahoy from similar attacks from hyip365.net. They handle every problem to a satisfactory level and I hope they will keep that level of professionalism for their clients.
7. There was a lot of excitement on the forums around the launch of Surfs-Ahoy. Has this been reflected in the growth of Surfs-Ahoy and are you satisfied with this growth? How important has the support of the members been so far?
Surfs-Ahoy jump started with a quite an above normal and average growth rate compared to what has been experienced by other programs around in the industry. It was a very tedious launching day for me but I was ready for the challenge. Groundbreaking launch was overwhelming so I’m very thankful for the support the program gained from veterans and newbies alike in the field. It has been going on like that until now and as I am seeing it from the books, it would go on further. I’ve mentioned before that this is their program. If the members want it to continue as far as it would go, then by all means, Surfs-Ahoy need their reciprocal support. It has been satisfactorily attained so far and I hope the zeal and enthusiasm within them can be maintained long term and add to the longevity of the program.
8. What have you been doing to promote Surfs-Ahoy to date? What advertising strategy are you using? Many sites run promotional contests for members, what promotional activities are you running?
Well, I think I bought a big banner on your site for a month aside from banners in other famous and popular spots. Word of mouth has been effective so far and the members themselves have taken initiatives to promote the program. I have been seeing Surfs-Ahoy in the rotation of other surf programs where I am a member. You can also see our banners in members’ signatures in forums and I’d like to thank them for that.
For the promotional contest, Surfs-Ahoy held its 1st Referral Contest last January 24th and will be ongoing until February 7th. You are the currently in 1st place btw. The top ten referrers will be rewarded with cash as follows:
1st Prize: $300
2nd Prize: $150
3rd Prize: $75
4th-10th Prize: $25 each
All prizes will be directly sent to the winners payment processor account. ONLY UPGRADED REFERRALS will be counted for this contest.
9. What would you say are the benefits of joining Surfs-Ahoy over a multitude of other available sites? What would you say to those still not convinced? Why is your program any better than the next.
Because I’m doing the best for the program, because I’ve been answering e-mails as fast I as could and most important of all, because I process the payments as fast as I could, what benefits could be more important than those in a program? It is seldom to have an admin like me. I have been a member in lots of programs (HYIP and autosurfs)before and in fact, I’m still a member of some of them currently. I know the feeling of being an average member if you might ask. So more or less I kind of know what members expect from good management. I can only say that ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS…and this has been Surfs-Ahoys quality that would best ascribe it.
10. And finally, what is your honest opinion of my blog? Do you think it is of any real benefit to investors? Would you make any suggestions to improve it?
Honestly, I think the opinions presented in your blog play a big part in the industry. Its like in showbiz, you are one of the main performers and on top of the bill. It is no doubt that many investors have made your blog as a reference in their online money making decisions. Just keep up what you’ve been doing and I wish you more success. Thank you for conducting this interview. Have a nice day ahead to all of you.”
I’d just like to finish by thanking Derek for this interview. I know from recent correspondence that he has been extremely busy and has a very full schedule. I should also like to say that I have been impressed with his proactive hands-on style of managing Surfs-Ahoy. The manner in which he dealt with the recent DdoS attack on his site and the fact that he prefers to remain active in the support of his own site rather than spending all day on the forums would point to a rare combination in this business – a good program being managed by a good admin.
See you all tomorrow with all the latest news and views from around the industry!
P.S. Sorry to distract you from this good news story but I need to warn all MNO readers against investing in InvestMonopoly, CadillacVentures, BrainManagement and EliteFundGroup. They seem to have stopped paying completely and are not responding to e-mails. For all the details read my news section in tomorrow’s post.
