28/07/2009. Daily News from the Industry
Hi, guys! Let’s start today’s news with an important update from probably the most popular low-ROI program now – GoldNuggetInvest (reviewed here). After a very hard week for all the members and the administration of the program alike it seems now the show really is back on the road. All the payments are on schedule and everything is back to normal except the fact that it was decided that from now on all the pending payments will be processed once a day (instead of twice as was previously the case). I think it’s a wise decision considering how many members GoldNuggetInvest has now and of course planning for the future expansion of the program now that they have won their recent battle with hackers/extortionists. Of course the faster processing of payouts was always adistinct advantage for the program but at the same time after years of stable work it no longer has anything to prove – it seems everybody was behind the program 100% when it was down for a couple of days. Everything has already been said (in the interview Robert gave exclusively to my blog here) and done (the correct course of action during the malicious attack on their script). Even the official forum of ASA is now back online and hopefully it will be the last time when we hear from those hackers. Let’s hope so as the Industry will be more productive and efficient without them. Here is the latest newsletter from GoldNuggetInvest:
“Greetings to Our Loyal GNI Customers & Clients.
To all of you who have offered their best wishes to us in our efforts to combat the efforts of those who seek to destroy our project, we most graciously thank you. You make for us, the added frustration and expenditure of resources much easier for us to swallow while reminding us of those member’s lives we have changed for the better; homes we have helped to save, medical treatment some clients would otherwise not have been able to obtain and yes, vacations some would have, without GNI, NOT been able to take.
We have been in contact with the owners at the GNI sponsored forum, ASA Monitor. For the last four days, they have been under a serious/significant DDoS attack by unknown fraudsters. Whether or not this is a collateral effect resulting from our (GNI’s) determination to fight the fraudsters, we cannot say for sure, however the relationship between ASA and GNI has been, of late, very good.
Some have suggested we switch to a new forum. While this may seem like a simple, correct response; we feel otherwise. If we were to switch forums, which is precisely what the perpetrators of the DDoS attack are hoping for us to do, we would be giving the perpetrators an undeserved victory and encourage future DDoS attacks on other programs and forums which support them. To that end, WE REFUSE to participate helping anyone perpetrate illegal activity. Additionally, we support ASA’s efforts in fighting this attack and will remain patient until their success is evident when our members can resume active participation at the ASA Forum. We hope our members will try to understand our decision(s).
In an effort to streamline our operations, we have decided to modify our payment (withdrawal) schedule. Previously, we processed member’s payment requests twice daily, Monday – Friday beginning at 8:00 am (GMT) and then a subsequent payout cycle which would be initiated around 17:00 (5:00 pm – GMT).
We will be eliminating, effective immediately, the second daily payout cycle. Specifically, GNI will be completing member payment request beginning at 8:00 AM GMT, 4:00 AM EDT (Eastern Daylight Time), Monday – Friday.
Saturday payments, as has been the previous, on-going policy of GNI, will be made on a case-by-case basis. This is NOT to say GNI evaluates member requests for Saturday payments. The decision to initiate payments on Saturdays is made based on program/project requirements as determined by GNI Administrators.
The decision to make this change was predicated on having the least impact on the membership base, additional resources required to maintain the superior level of customer care our clients have rightfully demanded and received and time required by the GNI team to maintain a certain degree of sanity expected by our family members.
With a little bit of advanced planning this will have a negligible impact on our members/clients.
Once again, we thank you all for your on-going support.
Robert & the GNI Team“.
I got the very first newsletter from the administration of 12DailyClicks program (reviewed here) yesterday. Although the program is just 10 days online so the first payouts of 144% on expiry are to be processed in a couple of days the admin already implemented some new feature that will hopefully help 12DailyClicks to generate additional income for the members: it’s an advertising page where all the surfers will shown some banner ads purchased by other admins. Also you should pay close attention to a new feature called “Got paid” where you will be able to see some random screenshots (this will be useful after the first payments on expiry are processed). I believe 12DailyClicks has a very good chance to become a great performer in the autosurf arena and hasten a return to the golden age of programs when the plan 12% for 12 days was a good indicator of the longevity of the program. Anyway, we have to wait just a couple of days to see if it’s really possible. The start of 12DailyClicks was good but we will see if it can be sustained soon. After the first batch of payouts I’m planning to interview the admin of 12DailyClicks so hopefully we will be able to get some interesting insights on the program first-hand. Anyway, here is the first newsletter from them:
“Dear 12DailyClicks Members, This is our first Newsletter and we say thanks to all members who joined us.
First thing to start with is that 12DC is now 10 days old and it has 300+ members joined. Not bad for the start since no upgrade has expired. Although first ones will expire in next two days and that’s when first payouts will be started for those who upgraded. But payments have already started since day 1 when referrers requested their commissions.
Secondly, the industry’s famous blog MNO (Money-News-Online) published review on 12DailyClicks. If you haven’t checked it, you can read it here.
Interview with me is also soon to be published there, so stay tuned.
Regarding advertising credits – we’ve set there recently a new rule. From now you get 50 credits per unit purchased. Here’s how it works:
A. You upgrade with $10 (1 unit) – you receive 50 credits
B. You upgrade with $100 (10 units) – you receive 500 credits
C. You upgrade with $1,000 (100 units) – you receive 5,000 credits
In other words – the more you upgrade with, more credits you receive to promote your sites. That’s a measure to attend the demand for credits from upgraded members.
We also announced an unique feature called “Got Paid!”. This is where you can find random chosen payout screenshots daily. The box is located under the Statistic’s box, so check it out.
Adding to this we’ve implemented an advertising page that’s seen for 20 seconds everytime you click “Surf” in the menu, it shows three advertising banners that can be purchased at cost of $37 per week. If you want to promote your website to potential customers this is an efficient way, your banner will also show in the Surf bar.
That’s all for now, we’re looking forward for your questions and ideas you might have. Me and Mike are mostly available on the Live Support, so why not to talk with us online?”
The admin of DirectResult updated his members on some changes implemented on their website. Also he mentioned about some threats their website is getting and promised not to pay a dime to the blackmailers. So please be aware that some Not Paying votes can come up on some forums and monitors soon. Please don’t trust them unless there is some proof presented! Here is the most recent update from DirectResult program (reviewed here):
“There are two highly important updates on the website. These updates may come easily visible to you when next you visit DirectResult, but I feel I should point them out to you.
1. Recent Payments link:
There is now a link to enable you see recent payments made by DirectResult.
When you visit DirectResult, this link is visible below Payment Method. So remember to click on this link regularly, daily if possible, to view our recent payments. The Recent Payment page is automatically updated whenever payments are made by DirectResult to members.
2. Regular Updates on Twitter:
I have now signed up on Twitter. You are invited to follow me on Twitter. I will keep you regularly updated with gossips and all info that come my way.
Let me also mention briefly that during the weekend we received some email messages from someone or a group requesting for $50 weekly. The threat was that if DirectResult did not pay, that they will work to tarnish the name of DirectResult. This threat does not faze us. We will follow a good path to maintain a good reputation. DirectResult has no intentions to be dubious or to scam anyone.
DirectResult is new and I know that many people will find it an attractive source of regular and stable earnings. A good word of mouth goes a longway.
Quality investors are coming from our members who have been receiving payments regularly. This is the way to build up good reputation. Our investors are directly referred by others that find us to be good. We will not even pay anyone $1 for any threat. See the threat here: http://directresult.net/index.php?p=blackmail
Regards and have a nice time.”
Now let’s go from some good paying programs to some scamming ones. First of all, the admin of Merchandies is trying to steal some personal and sensitive information from the members. Many members of Merchandies received some weird emails recently asking to provide some copies (or even originals!!!) of documents allegedly for verification. Supposedly without passing this verification procedure they will not be getting their money back. Please don’t believe to these scammers and NEVER send them any documents unless you want more trouble! This will not help you return your money but rather your sensitive info will be used in their criminal activities. Merchandies is simply another HYIP scam and NOT a registered company as they claim! So please just ignore those emails and don’t reply to them. Here is the email (just for your information of how they usually operate):
“Dear Valued Client, To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, As a registered company we are being asked by law to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account with us . So in order to continue using our service please submit a scan of the following documents until 3 Aug 2009 in your account . Please be informed Failure to provide requested Documents may be caused your account to be blocked permanently .
Please send us scan of two (2) items from list A and one (1) item from list B :
LIST A
Valid Passport
Valid Driving Licence
National Identify Card
LIST B
Utility bill ( Telephone , Gas , Electricity or Water Bill )
Bank Statement
Please note that Documents must be clearly readable and legible, You also may be asked to send original ones if the scans are not acceptable.”
It’s curious to note that they use the British and Commonwealth spelling of the word “licence”. Americans, as they claim to be, spell it “license”. No big deal, I just thought I’d point that out.
NovalexFinance. What to say about this program? It was great while it lasted which was over 8 months but now it’s officially a scam. Their website is now suspended by BlockDos for non-payment and I doubt it will come online at all. I hope you didn’t spend what you couldn’t afford to lose and I’m really sorry for those who you lost. But it’s how this Industry works: any program will come to an end sooner or later and NovalexFinance was no exception. It’s just the speed with which it went down that surprised me: nothing really happened to indicate this pending collapse. But it happened anyway and there were obviously some victims that were not in profit. The recent official reply from the administration of StrictPay payment processor regarding NovalexFinance‘s account with them left all hopes dashed:
“Over the past few days there have been numerous complaints concerning Novalex, and during this time there have been reports saying that they have stopped paying people through other processors as well. They have continued to pay StrictPay customers during this time, but as of now they will need to add additional funds in order to continue to pay customers.
Many customers have been asking us for refunds, but we need everyone to understand that Novalex paid people daily, and removed funds from their account regularly so that they could invest the funds as they explain on their site. There are some blaming us for letting them withdraw funds, but please keep in mind that according to their site they need to invest the funds they receive in order to generate the returns they offer. If we, or other processors, did not let them withdraw funds they could not do what they claim is necessary with their funds.
There have been a few people that have notified us they have been told by Novalex that they will resume making payments again next week. If they make a deposit to their account we will allow the account to send funds again.
We will continue to monitor this situation, but if they do not add additional funds there will be nothing that we can do as the account does not have sufficient funds to pay its members back. Their account cannot send, receive, or withdraw funds at this time, as we are waiting on a response from them directly.
If you have a payment of service outstanding with them we recommend that you contact them by the methods they offer, or by our private message system inside your account under the Communications Center link.
We thank you for your patience, and we will make an announcement as soon as we can.”
That’s all I wanted to tell you today. Please always remember to diversify your investment portfolio and never put all your eggs in one basket to avoid significant losses. Please check out my monitoring page to find out some good paying programs and spread your investments between several of them. I’m sure success will come to those who are in constant search of something new and exciting.
