Hi guys! As promised yesterday I have all the latest news from the programs covered by money-news-online for you today. I know I also promised a new review but I’m afraid I’ll need to put that on hold for a short while. No reason other than a lack of spare time on my part as I spent the day hiking on the breathtaking Mount Floyen overlooking the city of Bergen and the majestic Norwegian fjords. All I can say from the experience is that I will always envy those fortunate enough to actually live here year round. But anyway, on with the news.

And perhaps the most controversial news story for some time was undoubtedly from SolidTrustPay and their admission that their entire database was hacked during the long period they struggled with a DdoS attack. The database was online for everybody’s observation until recently when it was taken down by their hosting provider on STP’s request. To SolidTrustPay‘s credit they didn’t deny any of this and explained everything in detail on their official blog:
SolidTrustPay has identified a malicious attack against its clients and business. As has been publicly stated, we came under an extensive DDoS attack which resulted in significant downtime for all members. While in the process of mitigating this attack, our servers came under brute force attack and information from our database was stolen. These are criminal acts. The perpetrator subsequently created a URL wherein he posted the stolen information. SolidTrustPay, within 24 hours, was successful in reporting the crime to the ISP and webhosting provider of that URL, and the offending link and illegal content has been taken down.
Events such as the above constitute online “break and enter”. Some will accuse SolidTrustPay of negligence and we will be sharply criticized. If a thief breaks into your well guarded house and steals from you, it does not make you an irresponsible home owner. We are not downplaying these events – but there has been no loss of information, no loss of funds, no access to passwords, none of the information in the database has been changed in any way.
This attack has been contracted and paid for by an individual or group. A war of this magnitude and depth is not cheap, and no one does it just for fun. Somebody somewhere wants SolidTrustPay gone – but that is not going to happen.
Anyone who is worried about their information is asked to contact priority@solidtrustpay.com and we will work to assure you that your information is safe.

So what will happen to all this compromised info? Will it be used somehow against the clientele of SolidTrustPay? Will any lessons be learned and will the necessary conclusions be drawn by SolidTrustPay‘s administration (I remind you this was not the first time STP’s database was compromised)? We will see what happens next. But then another question arises: who is responsible for this attack and will it be justified to blame somebody in particular? The STP reply suggests some war unfolding with a competitor but it could be some smart whizkid in my opinion who just knows how to hack such databases in order to sell them to somebody later. I still can’t see a serious reason for panic and the thing that STP administration openly admits this happened ensures me that they will work diligently on implementing the necessary measures that will prevent this from happening in the future.

Of course some reasonable program admins couldn’t just sand idly by and watch what was going on in STP so they have sent some important updates to their membership already. The admin of SazaInvestments program Ricardo (interviewed here) is definitely one admins who does his best for members. This is the update regarding received from him today:
It came to our attention that STP database has been hacked. They admitted themselves on their official blog. We would like to advice all our members who are using STP to change their emails and passwords or any other personal information inside their STP account for their own security. We think that’s the best thing to do right now. We really hope that STP will be back on track soon and that they can find a way so that all details stolen to can’t be used to harm their clients. Regards, SazaInvestments Team”.
I would like to comment here that in my opinion changing your passwords in STP is not necessary as the administration of STP didn’t mention it. It’s clear that some personal info that members submitted during the verification was stolen but I think that the passwords are intact. Although if you believe that it’s necessary you’re welcome to change all your passwords in SolidTrustPay to ensure the maximum protection for your funds. It certainly wouldn’t hurt anyway.

TenTraders program (reviewed here) sent out a few updates last night and some of them were quite interesting. One of them was dedicated to phone support that was unavailable for some reason (the admin of TenTraders told about this in the interview published here). So apparently it’s back again and now you can phone to their support if you have any questions:

The second thing about TenTraders program that definitely needed some clarification was the time when they process payouts. For such a high-paying program that pays 107%-109% after 1 day, 115%-120% after 2 days, 123-135% after 3 days etc. it’s absolutely necessary to do clarify this. TenTraders is extremely popular and having hundreds of members it has to be a huge workload for the administration to process the withdrawals every hour or several times per day like many admins do. So they decided to schedule processing of all the payments to just once per day. It’s clearly explained in the following update from:
We should inform you about some things
We have many mail daily with this subject “why my withdrawal is pending long time?”
Answer : because of more than 7000 members we can not send more than 1 mass payment a day it will take 3-4 hours a day for sending withdrawals only. So we send withdrawals daily between 00.00.00 to 07.00.00 GMT time. (Only 1 mass payment)
For example today we send withdrawals at 04.00.00 GMT time and you request 04:10:45 GMT time. and another member request tomorrow 03:45:13 AND we send withdrawal requests at 04:00:00 GMT tomorrow. Both of these 2 members will receive their withdrawals at tomorrow 04:00:00 GMT . one of them pending for 23 hours and 50 minutes and another one pending for 15 minutes.
Then we don’t send withdrawals randomly as your said of some of you on forums. We have just 1 mass payment a day.

Finally one more thing about TenTraders. As you know such successful programs like them that has been online for over a month already are often the victim of hackers or just jealous scammers that do everything in their power to somehow profit from the work of others. Sometimes they blackmail programs’ admins and threaten to launch a DDoS-attack on the site or some smear campaign on public forums. Sometimes they just launch a copycat version of the website in hope of stealing people’s passwords and ultimately their money. Sometimes though they use more sneaky methods like the one described in this other update from the TenTraders team:

One of our members reported us than someone hacked his LibertyReserve and transfered money to an account (U5088961 (Ten-traders.com)). you see that hacker has used name of our site to phishing others. Our member just sent a history of his transfers and we found easily that SMD http://seven-million-dollars.com/ is hacker of his LR.
Then please be aware about this site. They are using our site name to scam people.
Every clever person know this subject that if someone want to scam others does not use his real business name to do that.
Then please be careful.
Our deposit account is only U2056870 (Ten Traders) and this account U5088961 (Ten-traders.com) is another phishing account from http://seven-million-dollars.com/

The admin of another popular program GloriousProfit (reviewed here) reported about the recent stats his program obtained during the last two weeks online. And I must say that the stats are quite impressive for such a medium-term program like this that pays 5%-5.5% for 30 days with no principal return on expiry. In addition, it seems that SoilidTrustPay will be added to the list of processors accepted by GloriousProfit. The payments are still on time and the admin is quite responsive so it seems GloriousProfit is the one to watch now. Here is the latest newsletter from the admin:

One program always a bit low on the radar but still of very high quality is CorpusTrust (reviewed here) and they issued their first update since launching in May 2009. This update was rather short but I believe it’s still better than nothing and I hope the admin will become more active in promoting his program which is really one of a kind. However I would not hurry to join 12DailyInv just yet because it seems the program already has some issues with LibertyReserve payments. They are pending for over 24 hours now and the admin just answered me about the reasons for that. Here is his email:
Regarding pending payouts they (members) are right, pending are taking longer now, specially LibertyReserve, I’ve been doing the alone. I need to go 4 steps to process LibertyReserve payouts manually, it’s easy and fast when I have Mike to help me. But Mike is busy with personal issues and wont be available online till Friday. I have to win the payout list myself, I really don’t want to use API of LibertyReserve because it is a target of hackers.
People who invested with other processors are being paid almost in the same frame as before. I’m struggling to stand the terms, members also need to have some patience, payment may take up to 48 hours.

I would like to add that the payouts to other payment processors in 12DailyInv are fast as usual but the fact that it’s only LibertyReserve payouts being affected makes me think about the real reasons behind the delays. I would say that either nobody deposits via LibertyReserve and the admin is waiting for more money to be in his LR account to pay to everybody or they just try to withdraw everything from LR now and keep paying only to SP, STP and AP now fearing that their accounts in those payment processors will be frozen. But for one reason or another the admin neither sent a newsletter with an update regarding the delays in processing LR withdrawals nor was he on public forums to explain the situation either. I hope that the damage is not permanent yet and the program will continue. At the same time I can’t recommend a deposit in 12DailyInv anymore because of LR delays and would suggest you to wait till an official announcement. Some monitors have already moved the site to Problem status and I’m no an exception. However I would still like to give the admin the benefit of the doubt for now and see how he handles the situation before screaming “scam”. So let’s wait for some official announcement from Jeff and will not panic beforehand.

Before that unfortunate situation with payment delays the admin of 12DailyInv sent another newsletter to the members offering a bonus (very similar to what the likes of as BestInv, PlusInv and StableRoi offered) that they will get if they invest in 12DailyInv. Of course, now that the payouts to LR are on hold I guess it would be stupid to invest there but anyway this is the last newsletter for your information (and I will be waiting a proper update regarding LR pendings by tomorrow).

So far I have received no reply from him and I can see now that some honest monitoring sites (like GoldPoll) have already placed the program to Problem status. So have I!
