31/08/2010. NovaFx Review and Daily News from the Industry

BEWARE! THIS PROGRAM HAS STOPPED PAYING! PLEASE DO NOT INVEST!

Hi everyone! Before today’s news I just want to let you know that tonight is my last evening in Norway and will be spending tomorrow on a ship to Denmark. I’m not 100% sure that there will be internet access so if there’s no update until Thursday then you know why. Though most transport networks in this part of Europe have some form of Wi-Fi connection so most likely I will be able to write something.

So to start with tonight there has been a recent addition to the MNO monitoring list called NovaFx that I’m quite pleased to be able to review for you tonight. It’s mostly a long term low rate of interest HYI program though there is a shorter term test plan that you can check out first if you prefer. The program’s been running about a month or so but in this case that’s in no way to be considered a long time. In terms of the plans on offer NovaFx is barely getting warmed up in fact.
NovaFx
But starting with the first shorter term Starter Plan, it runs for 15 business days (three weeks) and requires a minimum deposit of $20 and allows a maximum investment of just $50. In return for that you are offered a daily interest payment of 0.4% with your principal returned on expiry. That adds up to a total return of 106%. Ok, nothing special in HYIP terms but it is more than sustainable if you are just a smaller investor, and really more geared towards those wishing to test the program first anyway.

If you’re satisfied with that and wish to move on to something more serious then there are an additional three plans for you to look at. Please note that these do not return your principal on expiry, but rather factor them into your payments. First is The Basic Plan that runs for 140 business days (28 weeks). It costs a minimum of $20 to join with the maximum set to $999. Interest payments are made daily from Monday to Friday at a rate of 1.4%. That allows you to break even after 72 payment days and finish the plan with a total return of 196%, or 96% profit.

If you’re prepared to make a more substantial spend then NovaFx have The Professional Plan which is only open to deposits between a $1000 minimum and a $2,499 maximum. In return you are then offered a daily interest rate (paid Monday to Friday) of 1.7% for a term of 140 business days. Your principal is already counted as part of that so you will break even after 59 payment days and finish the plan with a total of 238%, or 138% profit.

And finally NovaFx‘s third plan, which I guess is really one for the big time players, is open for deposits of $2,500 and up to a maximum of $20,000. It runs for 140 business days and makes interest payments of 2% per day from Monday to Friday. As that includes your principal it means you break even after 50 business days and finish up with a total return of 280%, or 180% profit.

One of the reasons I like NovaFx, other than the reasonable plans, is that the list of payment processors is much better than average. Those of you using their debit card for turning virtual money into real hard spendable cash will be pleased to see SolidTrustPay as an option, and can feel pretty secure that there is a stringent verification and refund policy in place. The same can be said (though without the debit card) of AlertPay who are also accepted. Other options include GlobalDigitalPay, LibertyReserve, and PerfectMoney. Payments to date have been pretty fast but the admin does ask you to allow up to 72 hours to guarantee everything is processed. For those of you preferring to avoid online payment processors there is also a facility for bank wires. Contact the NovaFx admin for more details if this applies to you.

Other reasons I like the program include the excellent security and design features. NovaFx is hosted on a dedicated server from BlackLotus with their highest “enterprise” level of DDoS protection (which doesn’t come cheap). The website also has an additional layer of security with SSL encryption as certified by Comodo and like most of the better online HYI programs is running off a custom made script. The overall layout and design is also very professional and user friendly. Contact with the admin can be made through the online support form, so if you have any questions before or after joining then submit them there. My short experience with them shows the support team to be fast and efficient.

Supposedly (and I don’t mean that in a cynical way, I just can’t prove it) NovaFx are a registered company in New Zealand where they are involved in amongst other things ForEx trading. Certificates relating to this are displayed on the website and if you feel these things are of more importance to you than they are to me then you are free to research them for yourselves. I’m not trying to question their authenticity you understand, merely reminding you that they play little importance in the actual safety of your money.

Texts are also original as far as I can see, and while not actually proving anything does at least indicate a lot more time, effort, and expense put into setting the whole thing up. I mean nothing spells “amateur” quite like copy/pasting your website’s content from someone else, so in this case the NovaFx admin might really know what he’s doing. I wouldn’t suggest you look past it as anything other than another online HYIP of course, but as it is it’s still better planned and organized than most. Don’t expect a guarantee here but if you like a gamble then you could do a lot worse for yourself than throw a few bucks into NovaFx. It’s a quality program and still relatively new. Just not more than you can afford to lose and always based on your own level of experience and part of a wider more diverse portfolio.

DAILY NEWS FROM THE INDUSTRY.

I think today’s news can easily be given over to the topic of scams as the vast majority of it is about this unpleasant but all too familiar subject. So can you imagine that I received a number of emails supposedly from LibertyReserve payment processor, warning me to update my account, notifying me about the cancellation of some agreement with me, and asking me to change my password in LR (conveniently leading me to a scam website ready to steal my personal info). Can you imagine how I’m tired of all of this stuff? But the fact is that these emails are being sent on a regular basis which to me only proves that whoever is sending them is actually succeeding in their goal of accessing the personal info of some people whose accounts they are so eager to empty.

The same situation exists with HYIPs. As you know some dishonest HYIP owners usually sell their databases of email addresses after they close and sometimes even when they are still running. It’s the obvious explanation as to why regular players get bombarded with so much spam. It also makes the task of a scammer pretty easy – simply attach malicious software and pack it into a .rar file, and send it as an amendment to the investment contract which is supposedly sent to you by the program you have joined. Then all you have to do is wait to see the percentage of people who are naïve enough to believe what they see and try to open the file containing a malicious file that steals their passwords. Well, you shouldn’t play with such things if you want your computer to stay safe and secure.

Another trick to get your money out of HYIPs is sending some kind of special offers to the members of the programs. Their real email address is usually disguised very carefully to resemble the real program, which is why less observant investors might believe it originates from the program in question and send money straight to their LR or PM accounts. In this case I can advise you only one simple rule – do NOT invest anywhere direct to a payment processor account but ONLY through the websites that you are joining. In most cases you won’t find this offer on the website in question and on closer inspection will see difference between the program’s actual LR and PM accounts and the ones trying to solicit your money. So please don’t be fooled and think twice before sending your money to unknown accounts offering you something too good to be true!

I have even got so accustomed to such emails by now that I hardly even notice them anymore unless the admin of a program mentions it in his newsletter. So today it happened with GlobalTradeManagers (reviewed here) – the program that has been paying successfully on two daily investment plans (3.5% for 40 days and 3% for 60 days) for over three weeks and which will soon hopefully process the payouts on both plans on expiry (155% after 40 days and 201% after 60 days). Apparently, the admin was inundated with requests asking to explain what was just explained by myself above. So please be aware that a spam email offering a 150% plan after 3 days is not in fact genuine. I really appreciate the admin taking the time to warn his investors as not everybody might be aware of these tricks. Here is the latest from GlobalTradeManagers:
Hello, It came to our notice that our members got a mail which says that there is a special plan offered “150% in 3 days”. It did not come from GlobalTradeManagers. Do not trust that mail in any way. Please ignore that. It has been sent by unknown scammer. Please delete that mail.
Always invest using your member area.
Admin. GlobalTradeManagers Limited
”.

The admin of another program MutualTreaty (reviewed here) also issued a similar warning today. Somebody impersonating him sent an email soliciting money to LR and PM accounts for a fictitious plan offering 150% after 3 days. I wonder why they didn’t include STP and AP accounts as well because they are in the list of payment processors also accepted by MutualTreaty? Oh, well, I forgot that the scammers only use LR and PM payment processors because all the transactions there are irreversible and the accounts cannot be blocked on the grounds of suspected theft. So once again, be careful when dealing with such emails. Here is the warning sent today from MutualTreaty:
Hello. Please informed that, there is some fake email with our company name about special plans. They are not our offer and all of them is fake. Please don’t send money to their account numbers. There is no any responsibility for sending money to their accounts.
For more trustworthy the same email in website news!
Here is the sample of fake email:

There were also a couple of emails sent from OnlineMDT recently asking members to double-check their accounts before requesting withdrawals. Some accounts were really changed and so it was not an unreasonable warning. According to the admin’s explanation the hosting provider DDoSWiz gave the admin’s access password to some scammer impersonating him and contacting them from a similar e-mail address. The weirdest thing was though how it was possible that the support of the hosting provider actually gave the password and access to the account of OnlineMDT to some stranger simply because they impersonated the admin and talked to them nicely on Yahoo. I think it’s very unprofessional and dangerous from them and I’m afraid (provided that it’s true) that DdosWiz cannot be considered as a safe and secure hosting provider anymore. If this is not true the administration team of DdoSWiz are welcome to comment. As far as I know the recent issues didn’t stop OnlineMDT from paying on all the plans (109% after 3 days, 119% after 5 days, 129% after 7 days) and hopefully it will soon be moved to a more reputable provider like the admin promised. Here is the email I got from OnlineMDT today explaining the situation with changing the accounts of the members (if you have the same issue please do not hesitate to contact the admin for help):
Hello To all dear Members.
2 days ago some one with Onlinemdt@ymail.com Identification contact Support of DDOSWiZ Website, and claim that he is from our team and want to install SSL and need their help, after that this person ask DDOSWIZ support to recover Cpanel Password and Their support just ask him give the old information, and this person give a fake information and DDOSAWIZ SUPPORT DID NOT CHECK THAT THIS INFORMATION IS RIGHT OUR NOT and without any delay give our Cpanel password to this person.
When Support ask him to give an email address to send information to that email address, that person give this Fake address : OnlineMDT@gmail.com and this support man without any delay give our password to a person that claim from us, Just Claim …. We contact support and after 3 email that we sent they did not answer and we contact again and again, we found their Yahoo ID, we told them when every person Claim that is from us you WILL RESTORE OUR PASSWORD FOR HIM…they just told us they made mistake, I don’t know how will compensate our losses? They just told us we made mistake and after some minutes leave their seat and never speak again, WE ANNOUNCE THAT DDOSWIZ IS NOT SECURE AND
THEIR SUPPORT IS SO WEAK AND IF ANY ONE GIVE THEM MONEY THEY WILL RESTORE YOUR PASSWORD WITHOUT ANY DELAY. Very soon we will be transfer into another Host, a place that can secure us against any hacking activity not like this support man that give our information to anyone without any problem.
DDOSWIZ is the worst hosting, and they receive money and don’t support their customer whenever they need .
These two emails are SCAMMERS: OnlineMDT@ymail.com, OnlineMDT@gmail.com
Kind Regards.

I don’t know if it’s a coincidence but today I received an email from the admin of the recently closed HandyProfit, a program that didn’t last even for one full cycle and stopped paying allegedly due to their site getting hacked. The admin of the program also blamed DdoSWiz for their weak security but was kind enough to promise me to refund to the members that deposited in his program under my link (the program was only listed in Basic listing on MNO, therefore was only featured on my monitoring and never mentioned on my blog). I remember that in HandyProfit I had only two active referrals but I don’t know their names (only amounts deposited) and I don’t have this info stored in my email address as HandyProfit was a program running on Neversay script which doesn’t send confirmations when somebody signs under you. So if you were members of HandyProfit who don’t get paid please let me know your details including LR or PM account which you can send to abramsonp@gmail.com and I will try to persuade the admin of the program to send you refunds like he promised today. I will be looking forward to your emails, guys, but remember I know the amounts deposited so I know who’s genuine!

Finally, a program hosted on Dragonara also sent out an email asking the members to check their accounts. Forexica (reviewed here) recently was refurbished into a long-term program paying 1.4%-2% for 160 calendar days with 50% of the principal returned on expiry. I wonder what made them send this email similar to that was sent by OnlineMDT a couple of days ago. Anyway, please check your account if you’re a member of Forexica (I just did and mine was fine):
Hello, Please check your accounts and inform us if they have changed.
Thank you so much.
Best Regards. Forexica Group.

The administration of Vodapex is also tightening its security as it had some compromised issues with their API interface which should be fixed pretty soon. Meanwhile you can still request your payouts from Vodapex (reviewed here) which will be processed manually but still pretty fast (I always receive mine within a few hours). So here is the latest update from them:
Hi, Automatic withdrawal will be enabled again shortly. We are doing some more test as it involves multiple servers to ensure absolute security.
I will let you know when the auto withdrawal is finally ready in the next few hours. So for now if you are doing any withdrawal you can withdraw and leave $0.10 to test the auto withdrawal later.
Best regards. Admin. Vodapex

There are two new programs added to MNO monitoring today. The first one is SignalTraders. This program just launched today and accepts LibertyReserve, PerfectMoney and AlertPay payment processors along with bank wires for deposits above $5K. There are four different investment plans in SignalTraders you can consider, all of which return your principal on expiry: 2% for 60 days (for $10 to $100 deposits), 2.3% for 60 days (for the deposits ranging from $101 to $500), 2.6% for 90 days (from $501 to $5,000) and 3% for 120 days (for over $5K deposits). There are also two plans that will not return your deposit on expiry, however, you might be able to profit from them faster. The first plan offers 4% daily for 30 days and is open to deposits from $500 to $2,000. The second plan pays 3% for 60 days and is open to larger deposits of $2K and upwards, so I guess that’s for serious investors only. The script is Neversay and the hosting provider is BlackLotus which hosts them on a dedicated server. Also the admin of the program claims to have an SSL-connection but I couldn’t find it on the site. There is Panamanian address available to check out with a very blurry company certificate and functioning online support. More on SignalTraders can be read in the upcoming review that is going to be published on MNO later this week. Stay tuned for that, guys!

The second program that straight away upgraded to Premium listing was another short-term newcomer UniquePay. The program offers different types of plans which you can deposit into using only LibertyReserve and PerfectMoney. The minimum to invest is $10 only which can be invested either into a daily plan paying you every day from 27.5% to 32.5% (depending on the amount deposited) for 4 days, or into an on expiry plan which pays from 120% to 140% after 5 days. I would recommend you stick with the daily paying plan as it’s less risky and as UniquePay just started today this plan might be a very profitable option for the first investors. UniquePay is running off a licensed GoldCoders script and is hosted on a dedicated Staminus server provided by Koddos. More about the program will be posted in my next news updates when I hope to receive my first payout so stay tuned for that, guys!

By the way, you might know that myself and my designer Andrew opened MNO Design recently (click here to see the page and portfolio). As an introductory offer Andrew decided to offer all new programs that purchase Premium listing on MNO a set of flash banners (swf format) totally free of charge. If you’re interested to avail of this limited time offer and receive a set of flash banners similar to what was made for PawnShopFund already please contact me at abramsonp@gmail.com or my designer Andrew at the email provided on the site. So for program admins, do not miss the opportunity to get some nice looking flash banners which are definitely more attractive than gif ones for a reduced promotional price or even for free if you buy Premium listing with MNO!

That’s it for today except for the list of the programs that paid me over the last 24 hours. It includes:
FundsOMatic, GlobalTradeManagers, OnyxInvClub, CherryShares, WorldPrivateFunds, ReProFinance, PawnShopFund, OilStructure, FutureTrails, CashMiner, Pickash, UniteTrade, Vodapex, ForexCompanyOnline, 144CashAds, VividTrade, GloTrade, Flamanta, YamaFinance, GroupUniversal, HOX and MutualTreaty.

I would like to remind you that I will be on the ferry to Denmark tomorrow so there might be some connection issues. I will try to bring you the updates anyway, but if there is no access there I will bring it to you on Thursday afternoon. I hope to see you again on MNO soon. Wish me a nice trip!
