Beware! NorthlandOpps has stopped paying! Do not invest there!
Hello everyone! Hope the weekend’s been going well for you so far. I don’t have a news update for you today as I’m having an evening off tonight. But being Saturday there’s unlikely to be a whole lot going on anyway although I’ll catch up on all the weekend news events in tomorrow’s post. But what I do have for you today is the following interview with the admin of NorthlandOpps. You may remember that this is a long term HYI program with a number of what I would call “perpetual” investment plans, or plans with no expiry date that pay members everyday for as long as the program can survive. Specifically NorthlandOpps are offering from 2% to 2.5% daily forever without the option to leave early. The admin’s name is Dean by the way, and if you like what he has to say about the program and would like further information then you can you can read the original review of NorthlandOpps first published on MNO here.
“1. Hi Dean, please introduce yourself to the readers of MNO and tell us please about your own involvement in NorthlandOpps. What is your role in the day to day running of the program?
Hi Paul, first I would like to take a moment to thank you for arranging this interview. As you’ve noted, my name is Dean and I’m the communications and customer support director for NorthlandOpps. My job is to manage everything ranging from public relations to customer support issues, and anything in between. Whenever someone submits a customer support e-mail or a message through our internal messaging system, I’m the one who provides assistance to the client.
2. Can you give us some background information on NorthlandOpps? How many others are involved with the program or are you operating alone? How long have you been online?
The concept and our investment strategy all began in Toronto roughly three years ago, when our three primary investment managers were having drinks at a Firkin pub in Toronto, Ontario. Separately, they had all been involved in private equity, however after a few too many beers they realized that by combining their individual strengths they could increase their overall profit and achieve greater success than they could individually in the corporate world. As such, they created a small private investment fund that they referred to as the “Northland Group.” Using funds from family members and friends, they soon realized that their “Ninja Approach” to equity investing was allowing them to earn far more than the traditional private equity firm. Basically, being quick and agile, they were able to jump into a number of opportunities, literally snagging deals out from under the feet of their former employers.
After perfecting the strategy, they decided that they would open their fund to the public. The name was changed from the Northland Group to NorthlandOpps, and here we are today. The website was first made public in early 2013.
3. Explain the investment plans in detail to us. What ROIs are on offer. What are the minimum and maximum amounts to invest? What payment options are you currently accepting?
There are currently three distinct investment plans offered by NorthlandOpps, all of which offer daily returns, 7 days per week. Below is a list of our current plans:
Basic Plan
Minimum Investment $5
Maximum Investment $999
2% Daily Earnings
Professional Plan
Minimum Investment $1000
Maximum Investment $4,999
2.25% Daily Earnings
Elite Plan
Minimum Investment $5,000
No Maximum Investment
2.5% Daily Earnings
Elite plan members are invited to special VIP events
Superior VIP customer service
In all three of the plans, compounding is available, profits continue indefinitely and investors may not withdraw their principal.
4. How secure is the website of NorthlandOpps? What are you doing to protect it and members’ accounts from hackers? Are you on a dedicated server? Who is your host? What kind of anti-DDoS protection do you have?
To answer this question I’d like to skip ahead to the next question and mention that we are not running any sort of common “script.” The NorthlandOpps website was custom made by a group of programmers, and is not exposed to the typical risks associated with scripts. In fact, I’m a little surprised that so-called investment websites would even consider using a generic script. How can that possibly be safe?
Anyway, back to us, we are currently hosted with Black Lotus, and are protected from DDoS attacks. We will likely be upgrading to a dedicated server in the near future to further increase our security. Furthermore, a number of members have requested that we add SSL to our website, and we will be doing that as well.
5. What kind of script is NorthlandOpps running off? Where did you get it, how safe is it, and why do you think this one is most beneficial for you as an admin and your members?
Answered in the previous question.
6. Can we see any statistics regarding NorthlandOpps? How many members have joined since the beginning and how many are active at the moment? Are you pleased with the support from the members so far? How important a role do they play in bringing in new members?
I’m not at liberty to disclose specific statistics regarding the number of members, however we are pleased with our growth. We would like to thank you for your original review of our website, which has contributed to our growth.
In terms of the current members playing a roll in our growth, I would say that roughly 50% of our investors are referred by current members. This is likely due to a combination of our high investor satisfaction, combined with our lucrative referral program.
7. How can members contact you if they have any questions or support related issues?
If members wish to contact us, there are three ways to do so:
Directly through the internal messaging system from within your member’s account.
Through the support contact form
Directly by e-mail. I can be reached at admin@northlandopps.com
8. What have been the most common questions and problems you’ve had to deal with so far? Is there anything you wish to say here so that members can avoid having to contact you later?
Whenever we notice a support issue trend, we make changes to ensure that the issue is resolved and prevented in the future. As such, there aren’t any specific questions that come to mind at this time.
9. How have you been promoting NorthlandOpps so far? What advertising strategy have you been using? How are you getting new members to join?
So far we have been promoting NorthlandOpps through investment monitoring sites and investment blogs such as yours, as well as the major online investment forums. Furthermore, we encourage users to refer their friends to take advantage of our referral program, which offers 10% of all deposits made by referrals.
10. What exactly are you doing with investors money? How are you investing it and how are you generating the profits being made to members?
As discussed on our “About Us” page, NorthlandOpps uses the invested funds to invest in a variety of money making opportunities. The scope of these opportunities varies greatly, but I’ll give you a couple of examples:
Providing capital to an up and coming business that needs cash to fulfill orders
Short term loans to bankroll high profit ventures
High yield arbitrage situations
11. And finally is there anything else you wish to say not covered in this interview? Also please feel free to comment on the review of your program published on MNO. If there was anything you felt was unfair, mistaken, or in any way in need of clarification then you are welcome to explain this in your own words here.
I think the above pretty much sums it up. If you have any follow-up questions, comments, suggestions or otherwise, feel free to let me know.
That’s it for today, guys. Thanks a lot to Dean for answering the questions and if you’re already a member of NorthlandOpps then best of luck to you in making a profit from it. If not, then at least I hope this interview was helpful for you in deciding whether it’s a suitable addition for to your portfolios or not.”
I’ll be back tomorrow with a full round up as I said of the weekend’s main news stories, except before I go I just want to warn you against investing in Stravia. That program has already been moved to Problem Status on my monitor due to confirmed reports, and these have been verified by me personally, of selective payouts. I’ll have further details about that tomorrow but obviously for now all you need to know is the important part – stay away from Stravia!
Thanks for reading, guys, and enjoy the rest of the weekend. See you all tomorrow!
