Hello everyone! Plenty to catch up on in the news from the HYIP industry tonight, and thankfully nothing to do with scams or closures. If only every day could be like this! Also I wanted to take the opportunity, given that I don’t have any new programs to introduce, to update the opinion polls that were running for the last couple of weeks on the MNO TalkBack page. So without further ado, let’s see what’s in the news today!
PUREINCOME – SITE STILL UNAVAILABLE
Perhaps the most widely discussed topic for the last 48 hours was the instability of the currently ranked #1 program on MNO PureIncome (reviewed here). For about two days now investors have been struggling to access the website, let alone request their earnings. The admin, Mark, has at least been keeping investors updated regularly and, since the PureIncome website was mostly unavailable, he did it via the official Facebook page. Here was the first update from yesterday when the first accessibility issues were reported:
“Dear Members, The data center where our servers are located is currently experiencing technical problems. Please don’t worry, we’re closely watching over them. The website will soon be available. Thank you for your patience!
Best, Mark Cobe Mark”.
Later on the situation got worse and the admin reported the inability of their former hosting provider BlackLotus to resolve the issue and also hinted at changing servers in case things didn’t improve:
“Dear Members,
I hope everything is well with you.
Until now we have not received a clear response from our data center on what’s all going on out there. Our technical team is currently chatting with them, trying to solve the problem as quickly as possible. Unfortunately we don’t know exactly how much time it will take us to complete but I do assure you that we will definitely fix that problem. No worries. As you may have noticed the website was up twice. All pending withdrawals have been processed. Further requests will be considered upon restore. Our stabilization fund beats all unforeseen circumstances off. I do thank you for your incredible patience and please trust us, everything will be fine soon.
Best, Mark Cobe
Marketing Director of PureIncome Team”.
Today saw a third official update on the PureIncome Facebook page where Mark finally admitted the technical problems were in fact DDoS attacks and told everyone that the site would be moved to a more powerful server along with the database. I noticed that the new servers are already shown in the Whois page for PureIncome, pointing at CloudFlare hosting rather than the previous BlackLotus. That just proves that the admin is telling the truth in the following update:
“Dear Members,
I hope everything is well with you.
As you may have noticed our website was available for 3 hours but unfortunately went down again. The clear reason behind that is a strong DDoS attack on our resource. The technical team of PureIncome is currently working on that issue along with Data Center support, and also setting up the website on servers of different Data Centers. I kindly ask you to stay calm. All payment requests as of October 17th have been processed. Thank you for your patience and trust!
Best, Mark Cobe
Marketing Director of PureIncome”.
At the time of writing PureIncome was still inaccessible, showing this notice:
“PureIncome is currently unavailable. We are doing some maintenance stuff and site will be online soon. Please, be patient”.
From my understanding some time is still required to move the site completely onto the new servers and the propagation will also take time. The good thing is the admin is working on it so hopefully, PureIncome will be back online soon. I’m pleased to report that the payouts haven’t halted either and while the site was online everyone could request a withdrawal. I was paid myself along with many others I believe. Of course the possibility remains that PureIncome will not be able to survive and that even moving servers won’t help them cope with the attacks. Therefore I assume it would be wise for the current and potential investors of PureIncome to hold off from making new deposits for a few days to see if the situation stabilizes. I’ll keep you updated on any new developments in PureIncome, so stay tuned for that!
POKERBYPROXY – ABOUT 2% DAILY PROFITS REPORTED
As you may know from my review of PokerByProxy (published here) and my interview with the program’s admin Patrick (published here), the program introduced quite a unique concept in the HYIP world, where investors are able to withdraw any share of their principal and profit they like on a daily basis. There is no need to commit your money for a certain term if you’re thinking of joining PokerByProxy. With a $25 minimum accepted via SolidTrustPay, EgoPay, PerfectMoney, HD-Money, BitCoin, PayPay (and higher amounts for bank and WesternUnion transfers) you can enjoy variable daily profits of up to 25% with possible daily losses capped at 5% depending on the results. Daily reports can be found on the website straight after members accounts are credited. Withdrawals are then paid manually within 24 to 48 hours. The reports for the last 48 hours featured a 2.16% profit for Wednesday and a 2.5% profit for Thursday. Please take a look below for further details:
“Wednesday 16th October 2013
Result 2.16%
Report Yesterday we mentioned that we would be introducing Twitter, and today I’m happy to announce that the official PokerByProxy Twitter account has been created. Please follow us on Twitter to keep up to date with everything related to PokerByProxy. Our page can be found at: https://twitter.com/pokerbyproxy
In terms of profits, we had another good day at the tables today, with an overall profit of 2.16%. Due to the rapidly increasing amount of investments in our program, we have been testing out new strategies at the tables, including switching over to some higher limit tables to see how we perform. Today was the first day that we participated in sit and go tournaments where the buy-in was in the thousands of dollars. Much to our delight, the outcome was the same as when we play in the lower level tournaments. We are also just days away from adding new members to our team to help ease the burden on our current players.
All accounts have been updated with today’s result.”
“Thursday 17th October 2013
Result 2.50%
Report Another good day all around, with a nice return, and also some small improvements to the PokerByProxy website. First and foremost, we have added our Twitter account to our contact page. Follow us on Twitter to stay up to date with all of our news and updates. In addition to that, we have added a contact number to our contact us page, which can be used to reach us via SMS. You can now contact us via text message, anytime, anywhere.
For those members who are earning using our referral program, you’ll be happy to learn that we’ve introduced additional banner advertisements. Check our the referral page to see our new promotional materials. We will also be creating some offline marketing materials in the near future.
As for the profits, the result for today is 2.5%. The majority of this was earned during a two hour run at PokerStars Zoom poker. Out of all of the strategies we’ve tried so far, Zoom Poker still seems to be the most profitable, that is, except for live tournaments. Our next scheduled live casino visit will be on October 26th-29th. All accounts have been updated with today’s result.”
OILGROUP – FIRST MONTH ONLINE
It feels like it only started yesterday, but OilGroup (reviewed here) is already celebrating a whole month online. This is definitely a very worthy achievement for OilGroup which is a short term and high risk program paying on expiry of the following plans – 104%-120% after 1 day, 122%-230% after 5 days, 170%-750% after 15 days, 400%-1800% after 30 days, 700%-3000% after 45 days, 800% after 8 days. I wonder if there were actually some courageous investors willing to risk the 30-day plan in OilGroup on day one and managed to multiply funds at least four times. I believe we should probably forgive the admin his exaggeration of having $1,000,000 in total deposits that are only taken via EgoPay, HD-Money and PerfectMoney, because with such dedication and hard work for over a month OilGroup definitely deserves all the success it has, although perhaps much more moderate than the admin wants us to think. Anyway, my congratulations to all the OilGroup investors who profited during this month and will hopefully continue to enjoy them well into the future. Today’s newsletter from OilGroup is below:

SOLIDTRUSTPAY – NEW INTERNATIONAL DEBIT CARDS COMING SOON
Some good news today for all the previous holders of STP international debit cards. As you might remember, the former card provider LoyalBank has been discontinued a couple of weeks ago for reasons still unknown, however the administration of SolidTrustPay promised that in the near future there will be a better replacement. It looks like STP lived up to their promise and already today a new international debit card has been announced. The good thing about it is that although you will still need to apply for a new card to be sent to your registered with STP mail address, the new cards will be totally free of charge for original card holders. I’ll update you on MNO again when the cards will become available. Meanwhile, please read the official update regarding the new cards:
“INTL Debit Card Program

You will be receiving an email within the next few days with an ‘invitation to acquire a new, free replacement card.’ You will need to accept the invitation by following the instructions in the email. MNO – LATEST TALKBACK POLL RESULTS AND NEW POLLS
As regular readers will know I have been running an ongoing series of questions and opinion polls on the MNO TalkBack page for some time now, with the questions changing every couple of weeks or so. You don’t have to take it too seriously or anything, but it never hurts to know what your fellow investors think about certain aspects of the HYIP industry, whether you agree with them or not, and indeed maybe even consider some questions that might not have crossed your mind in the past. So continuing then with the latest round of questions put to MNO readers, the first one asked you: “How do you compare the situation in the HYIP industry today to three months ago?”
Without going back over the entire situation in the HYIP industry all over again, three months ago (mid July) a lot of people were still hurting from the closure of LibertyReserve, and there’s no denying it was having a negative impact. We were slightly lucky in the sense that if LR ever really had to close then it happened in the summer, a time when it would at least have the minimum impact. It was never going to be painless but it could have been worse. I have no sympathy for the crooks and conmen using LR as a sort of “bank for criminals”, and quite frankly the world is a better place for them having their assets seized. But for the regular HYIP industry investors, just ordinary people around the world trying to make a couple of extra bucks for themselves to supplement their wages and make ends meet, thankfully (I would hope) they would have been holding less money in LR at the time of the closure. But back to the real question – how do you think we’ve recovered since then?
Well, I’m pleased to say that MNO readers remain as always a remarkably resilient and positive bunch of people, with the overwhelming majority of you saying you think things are better today. Not all to the same degree, but more or less in some state of agreement anyway. The single biggest response was by 43% of readers, expressing the view that “It’s definitely improved but nowhere near full strength.” A fair enough opinion I guess. It depends maybe on how you define “full strength”, but we did see some better times in the industry in years gone by.
The second placed answer was even more optimistic, with 33% of you saying “I actually think it’s better now, with a less but higher quality programs.” And that’s also good to hear, because in my experience from previous so called HYIP industry crises there was always good and profitable programs out there. Granted they could be tricky to find sometimes, but they were always there. So yeah, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with having a smaller choice if in fact it still turns out to be a better choice.
A more guarded view was expressed by some 22% of you holding the opinion “It’s still in crisis and I don’t see any improvement.” Hopefully that’s just because of a few badly timed decisions and not because of a downward trend. Fingers crossed things will pick up for you soon.
Pride of place however goes to the smallest group containing just 2% of MNO readers who boldly stated “I think it’s recovered and is as good today as it used to be.” I can’t say I’m in total agreement there myself, but of course it depends on how lucky you’ve been with your individual portfolio. I wouldn’t say it applies to the entire industry, but sure, there’s no reason why it can’t be the case for a select few experienced or just plain old lucky investors.
Moving on now to the second question in the MNO TalkBack poll, I also asked “What is your current opinion of short term HYIPs based on experience over the last couple of months?” I felt this was a particularly relevant and topical question, given that there’s been a number of disappointing short term programs in the last few months. High profile scams which showed a lot of promise but for one reason or another failed to deliver.
Once again however the majority of you seem to be keeping up a positive healthy attitude, with the single biggest group of you – a whopping 50% – answering “They were always high risk and no better or worse than ever.”
A smaller, but still very significant group of 33% voiced the opinion “They have deteriorated in standards and are best avoided for the present time.” And to me that only goes to prove the extent of the problem.. I mean the first group are definitely correct that short term HYIPs were always a high risk activity, but if that’s the number of you thinking things have deteriorated then there’s something not quite right going on.
14% of readers are keeping the attitude I’m guessing they probably always had by saying “They are important to keeping a diverse portfolio.” That’s not a bad way of looking at things. Though I would as always remind you to be cautious, keeping a diverse portfolio seems to be something you don’t need reminding about.
And finally the smallest group of voters but in a strange way the number that reflects the change in attitudes to short term programs the most, only 4% of readers answered “They are important to keeping a diverse portfolio.” My point here is that it wasn’t a very long time ago when a hell of a lot more than just 4% would have agreed with that point, so again clearly some damage has been done to the short term HYIP industry by incompetent or just plain crooked admins. Let’s hope the damage is short lived.
And so moving on to the new opinion polls, starting tonight I have two new questions for you. The first one asks:
What is the decisive criteria for you when choosing a program to invest?
And your possible answers will include
a) Fast profits
b) Good overall quality of the website
c) Time online
d) Other people’s feedback
e) Advertising budget
OK, if your exact answer isn’t included, or if it’s a combination of different factors, just give the single most important point you see listed.
As for the second question, tonight I want to ask:
How do you usually fund your e-currency account?
Possible answer include:
a) Via an exchanger from another currency
b) Via an exchanger via bank transfer
c) Directly from bank transfer
d) Directly from my credit card
Thanks as always to everyone who participates guys, and I’m really hoping to hear as many votes as there are readers!
