21/03/09. MySurfingStar Review and Other News

Hi everybody! Well I hope your weekend is going as well as mine wherever you are. As I might have mentioned Spring is just starting to blossom here so I spent a very pleasant day in the park. But as always I can find the time to bring you the latest reviews and ongoing news stories from the online investment industry, even if it is Saturday. You know I think I spoil you guys sometimes, lol! So today after taking a back seat in recent days, I want to get back to the subject of autosurfs. More specifically a brand new autosurf that I joined only yesterday. It’s called MySurfingStar and if I’m not mistaken I think I might even have been the first member to join this one.

Now before I start with the plans let me be totally honest with you and say that MySurfingStar might not be the finished article just yet. I will mention these shortcomings as we encounter them here. It does require a little work but not a complete overhaul either. The issues I have with it are not actually hugely important at this stage in the programs life anyway, but as the program grows they are issues that will need to be addressed. All in good time though, as my own impression of the admin is that they intend running this one for as long as possible. Already there are a few plans for the short term development of the site laid out for all to see.

So what are the plans? Well first we have quite a rare (but not unique) option in an autosurf. A plan with daily payouts. It requires a minimum investment of just $5 for one unit and you can buy a maximum of 100 units, or $500. In return you will be required to surf 15 sites per day and get paid 1.5% daily for 15 days with your principal returned on expiry. That’s a total of 122.5%.

Then we have two more traditional looking surfing plans. The first of which pays 135% on expiry after 15 days. Take note that ad packs here are more expensive, starting at $10 each for the minimum spend. Maximum allowed investment is $100, or ten units. You will again be required to surf 15 sites daily to get paid.

And thirdly, a bit more expensive but still affordable to many is a plan which offers 140% return on your principal after 14 days. Similar to the others in that you are still required to surf 15 sites daily albeit for one day less, the price of one ad pack remains at $10. But you will be required to purchase ten ad packs to enter this plan, or a $100 minimum. The maximum is $1000.

The only payment processor currently accepted by MySurfingStar is LibertyReserve and this really is the first problem I have encountered. I never remember any surfing program ever being a success while only accepting LR. In fact I don’t really believe that LR is such a popular option at all when it comes to surfing sites. But as the program is barely a day old then it’s hardly a major problem at this stage. It’s easily fixed but I just think it’s something the admin should have thought about sooner and been proactive about rather than waiting for potential members to start asking for it.

The security of MySurfingStar is also ok as far as new sites go. The script is the latest available version from Neversay, so that’s undeniably a good start. But that good start is let down a bit by my second complaint. It’s hosted on a shared server. But again, it just opened for business less than 36 hours ago. Membership levels have not quite hit the stratosphere yet, so a shared server will suffice for now. I guess it’s just a personal thing with me that I’ve never been a fan of putting things off until tomorrow when it’s easier to do it today, and you know you’ll have to do it soon anyway. The admin has given me a positive answer to that concern anyway and promised to move on that when it becomes more necessary as the numbers grow.

Other than that I must say the design is quite easy to navigate, with one of the better features being an easy to read chart on the home page giving a complete yet simple map of the three programs on offer. The admin also outlines some plans to accommodate a more gradual build up of members over the coming two months, with special mention to keeping the hit’n’runners at bay. Let’s see if that move proves successful. All told, a bit of work remains to be done here but I would still be cautiously optimistic. The groundwork is certainly in place for MySurfingStar to develop into a good solid surfing site. Let’s see now if the admin follows it through. I will keep you updated on this and all the programs I am in right here on my blog so keep an eye out for further developments.

Other news for today.

First I would like to mention some programs that you shouldn’t make any deposits in right now. I’m talking about 10DailyIncome first and foremost. As you might know from my previous post yesterday the program has changed plans to supposedly more sustainable on expiry ones. In my opinion there is still something to worry about as I haven’t received a reply yet from the admin regarding the virus that is still to be found on all the pages of 10DailyIncome‘s site. I feel a moral obligation here and I don’t want my readers’ computers to be infected by some unknown virus. That’s why I made a decision to put 10DailyIncome to Waiting status on my monitoring page. If the issue is not solved there is a possibility that this malicious virus can be very dangerous for your computer and even lead to some serious consequences. So please hold off from depositing into 10DailyIncome for a while. For your information there is an update from the admin of 10DailyIncome regarding the panic that has been caused by these sudden changes in plans. Note that there is no word regarding the virus as if it doesn’t exist:
“I understand you are surprised about the new plans. Right now we are one of the only paying autosurfs and there has been a massive drop in the industry. We have been here for some time now and paying up till date. The reason we changed the plans for the site was because we want to invest the upgrades into a monthly profit which will be favorable to both the members and the admin, We only did what was necessary and we had to act quickly. That was why you did not get a notice in advance. We apologize for that. Some members assumed we ran out of funds, but that is wrong. We have enough funds to run this site as long as we want to and to pay everyone.
I have replied all support emails up to date regarding this issue and as from yesterday, you will start earning base on the new plan.
I appreciate your continued support, thanks for being a part of 10DailyIncome and good luck on the contest, I hope you enjoy it.”

Another good autosurf program has to close today. It’s CrazyCashSurf. I have to say kudos to the admin though for being straightforward regarding the real status of the program and for paying till the end. The admin of CrazyCashSurf promised that all the upgrades made today would be refunded as well. The program continued for 5 weeks and paid without any issues all this time. Unfortunately hit-n-runners were blamed for the demise of the program as usual:
“It is with deep sadness that we must announce the closure of CCS today.
As you know, we have managed to stay active and paying for 36 days, which in these volatile times is unusual; but though we tried our very best to make CCS into a longterm surf, due to the continuing downslide of the economy, many members were unable to upgrade again after payouts, and we have found ourselves more and more making cashouts out of our own pockets.
Today we made final payments from all our processor accounts and these are now emptied again. We have no choice but to close. Any upgrades made today will be refunded.
We thank you for the many encouraging emails we have received from you, and sincerely wish we could have lasted longer. Please believe us when we say that we did all we could to help CCS survive.”

The members of ProjectSurf (reviewed here) received quite an alarming email from the admin Frankie where he blamed hit-n-runners for supposedly trying to bring his program down. In my opinion the issue with hit-n-runners should be totally the admin’s responsibility which should have introduced some rules against this (like 50/50 rule for instance). Other than that he has no moral right to blame somebody who put a big chunk of money in the beginning and withdrew and didn’t redeposit again. Anyway, everybody is in this industry to make a profit and not to lose money and it’s any member’s right to choose if either he will redeposit the money or not. Anyway, ProjectSurf is still paying though the payout timeframe stretched from 24 hours to 48 hours and now to 48 business hours meaning that nobody gets paid on Saturdays and Sundays. I would treat it as a warning sign if I was not sure about the good capabilities of the admin Frankie. I’m sure he will be able to handle the situation in a proper manner and that there is no reason to panic yet. Anyway, here is today’s update from Frankie, the admin of ProjectSurf:
“Hello Everyone, Just a Quick Update, All payouts are completed within the terms – it is Friday and I do not do Payouts on Weekends so please allow 48 business hours to receive your payout if you requested today/evening.
This is a real business model to me and I will do my best to insure a great program for everyone so I will follow a very precise business function throughout this project!. –
I have launched along with many programs and I am still standing strong when other programs are just folding. – I will do my best to give everyone a great site and build revenue projects as we go along for the benefit of this program.
Just to be transparent on a prospective level – There were 7 people in this program who started from day one with 3,000 dollars and just “HIT AND RAN” – trying to collapse this program I presume.
I don’t have to go into detail really to demonstrate that I do not need incoming to sustain! –
Treat this program respectively and it will be here for a long time to come! – I will work hard daily to make this project a success!
