17/07/2009. RoxiTrade Review and Other News

Hi everyone! Well I don’t know about you guys but it was a pretty hectic week for money-news. Hope you’re all looking forward to the weekend as much as I am. Of course I still have a review for you though, and this time it’s another of the new programs I joined during the week. It’s called RoxiTrade and it’s a bit longer term than the other major new programs I’ve joined this week.

RoxiTrade claims to be a German based “wealth management firm” (whatever that means!) operating from Berlin. And even before I’d gotten around to writing this I received some interesting feedback on this from a German MNO reader who by coincidence doesn’t live too far from RoxiTrade‘s official address. He decided to pay them a visit and see for himself what they were all about. More about that, and my own opinion on their authenticity in a moment though, because the first thing I would prefer to look at is their investment plans and how we may benefit from them.

And that’s the easy part really because there’s just one of them. For the moment anyway, but who knows what can happen along the way? If there is sufficient interest in RoxiTrade, (and they’re not a bad HYIP so there might be) I’m sure the admin will at least consider adding more if he feels it will be of long lasting value to his program. As it stands though your only option here is this. For a minimum investment of $10 your money will be placed in a plan that runs for 50 business days. During that time you will receive a low but still quite lucrative interest repayment of 3% per day, paid from Monday through Friday only. The maximum you may invest is $10,000.

So what does that add up to? It means that on expiry you should have gotten back 150% of your principal. Your principal is already factored in to your daily payments by the way, so don’t expect to see that again. But you will have broken even we hope and see your first profit on day number 34 out of the 50, and be earning pure profit after that.

And remember that 50 business days means 70 calendar days, there’s just no payments made on the weekend. There is also no payments made on bank holidays, which brings me to a curious feature on RoxiTrade. They supply you with a link that when clicked will open a little pop-up box listing off the various bank holidays for the year 2009 in various different countries. The list includes the USA, Canada, Japan, etc. But oddly enough it doesn’t include their alleged home country of Germany. I’m also curious as to why for instance I lived in Japan where the Emperor’s Birthday is an annual holiday, why a company in Germany is somehow affected. Unless the admin has an invitation to the birthday party, I shall expect to be paid on that day like any other non-German holiday.

Anyway, there might be just the one plan but I in no way see that as an impediment to the growth of RoxiTrade. As long as it’s a good plan. And it is. At just $10 it’s affordable to most and it’s quite profitable too while remaining realistic and sustainable. The other thing is that it probably keeps things remarkably simple and easy to handle for the admin, and if it frees him up to run just one plan but run it well, then that’s better again. Accepted payment methods include PerfectMoney, LibertyReserve, and StrictPay. Bank wires are accepted for those who undergo a verification process. That’s a simple enough process of scanning a photo ID document and uploading. Oddly enough again for a German company they require this document to be in English. (They don’t specifically mention if it can be multilingual). Of course you shouldn’t need me to tell you to be careful whom you share such information with.

One more thing I need to quickly point out about the plan is that there is a sort of “cooling off” period where you are allowed to perhaps reassess your decision to join RoxiTrade. If you have second thoughts you will be allowed to withdraw your principal, but you must do this within the first five days of joining and you must also forfeit any profits earned. After this five day period is up you can no longer touch your principal.

The security of RoxiTrade is simply excellent all round. Real top drawer stuff. The hosting provider may not be a name too many of you are familiar with, but they did quite a good job with the last couple of major HYIPs that I know were hosted by them. They are GeniusGuard and their track record though short, is still good. RoxiTrade is on a DDoS protected dedicated server with them. They also have an SSL-secured channel and a totally customized script with a lot of unique features. An example of one of these features include you being asked a unique security question, the answer to which remains known to only you and the admin. The script is generally quite a strong point here in RoxiTrade‘s favor.

The design overall in fact is thoroughly professional, secure, user friendly, and well explained throughout in simple yet informative terms. Pretty amazing actually, they really have done a number on this. And as I’ve said before I don’t like to over analyze what remain essentially superficial things like style, but in a competitive business like this one first impressions have to count. And my first impression was that these guys know what they’re doing. I may not believe their cover story, and I’ll get to that too, but one thing I’m pretty sure of is that they know how to run a first rate HYIP.

The similarities between RoxiTrade and the recently defunct NorthBizz are numerous and while I would never imply there is a direct connection between them, I really wouldn’t mind at all if there was. Without going off on a tangent here, it was a quality program that lasted for several months, and I only make the comparison here because first of all the similarities are way too numerous for me to just ignore (which means nothing) but also for the benefit of more experienced players who may wish to check it out.

The texts used on the RoxiTrade website are, shall we say, “borrowed” from other sources so that pretty much pours enough cold water over their claims to be an actual licensed financial management firm to satisfy my own theory that they remain just an online HYIP and not something to plan your pension around. A few bucks for a nice vacation maybe, but nothing too serious.

Another thing I want to mention briefly is that I got quite an enthusiastic response recently when I published the results of me trying to track down the offices of a number of HYIPs claiming to be operating from business premises in London where I now live. You can refresh your memories by reading it here.

So you might think that by offering us an address in a place like Berlin you’d be safe enough from money-news-online snooping around asking awkward questions. Well you’d be wrong! MNO casts a very long shadow you know! So it is with my eternal gratitude that a regular German reader of my blog (thank you Thomas!) volunteered his services and kindly offered to take a stroll past their address when he had some spare time as he lives in the greater Berlin area. Guess what he found? Would anybody be too surprised if I told you he found nothing? No, me neither. In fact the address itself would appear to be non-existent. It’s listed as 115 Kaiserin-Augusta-Allee, but Thomas assures me this street comes to an end at number 113. Just to be sure he went in and asked and says that the occupiers there confirmed this and nobody had heard of RoxiTrade.

OK, I don’t want to keep going on about this more than the program itself, but just be aware of this and ask yourself how much importance you really want to attach to this. There are a number of HYIPs out there offering actual physical street addresses for postal contact, but as far as I can see none of them have ever been verified. It does add a certain air of legitimacy to these programs in the eyes of the casual observer but very little else. But does it have any real affect on the program itself? Not really.

None of this stopped me from joining RoxiTrade by the way. I have assessed them purely as an online game and I like what I see. You can do what you like with this information, but I expect to profit from it.

Other news for today.

First of all I would like to let you know that BestInv program (reviewed here) paid me today on expiry. And though it took 7 days instead of 5 as originally planned I appreciate the admin’s honesty. Now after the first payouts on expiry have been processed I believe BestInv program can really take off like it deserves especially considering the fact that now you can see their banners on every major forum and monitoring site. So we can see that the admin didn’t spare any money or effort on purchasing the best advertising which indicates that she has serious intentions about the program and wants to ensure stable growth. Constant growth is a vital factor for such programs as BestInv and the rest is up to the admin (who is doing a great job IMHO) and to the members of course. Provided the members support BestInv we’ll possibly finally get a short-term program for weeks to come. I myself will support BestInv by publishing the interview with the admin on my blog tomorrow so stay tuned for that!
Meanwhile the admin upgraded their DDoS-protection with DdoSWiz and informed the members about it too. Also she mentioned the review that was published on my blog and the interview that is going to be published tomorrow. Here is the update:

It’s good to hear that the admin of another very popular HYIP InvestiMates Roger Miller (interviewed here) keeps the members updated on recent developments and the impressive figures his program was able to achieve after just 6 weeks online. It’s pretty amazing that InvestiMates is getting such huge support from members which definitely indicates that many investors prefer to re-invest in InvestiMates rather that looking for new programs. Now InvestiMates has about 1,500 members that invested about $200K in total. That is surely great and I hope the program will be running for a long time. For those who are curious about InvestiMates I can remind that the program accepts all the major payment processors and is paying 10% for 12 days with daily payouts and 12% for 12 days with payouts on expiry. I myself have already received my payment from SazaInvestments and even helped the admin with advice. The thing is the admin of SazaInvestments Ricardo (interviewed here) couldn’t access his account in SolidTrustPay due to changing of his IP address. For those who don’t know I will remind that STP recently introduced another security feature that should have made your accounts safer. On default all the accounts are now IP-sensitive meaning that after changing IP address you should receive an e-mail to the address used during registration with SolidTrustPay. However many people can’t receive this email for some reason and it’s really inconvenient that you have to apply to STP support every time your IP address changes which can happen very often for many reasons. So what is the solution? You can use Secret Question feature for the verification of your identity instead when logging in to your STP account instead of one-time code sent to your email. So if you fear that some day you will not be able to access your SolidTrustPay account you should do the following:
1) log into your STP account;
2) go to Security Zone tab located on the top menu;
3) choose My Security Settings tab in the drop-down menu;
4) enter your Secret Question and Secret Answer that will be known only to yourself.
Now it’s done and every time you or anybody else will try to log into your STP account from a different IP address you will be asked the Security Question you set up and you will not be able to get into your account unless you provide the right answer to the Question. I think it’s more convenient than waiting for your code that might not be received by your email or have to contact STP support every time it happens. Hopefully this advice was helpful for you and you will apply it in your future dealings with SolidTrustPay. Obviously that the admin of SazaInvestments managed to contact STP support as I was already paid my weekly payout but I hope you will be able to avoid his mistake caused by the most recent STP security update.

The admin of DirectResult Lesley announced the latest results of their promotional bonus offer that was announced yesterday and was valid only for Thursday and Friday. According to him the offer was a huge success and many members took advantage of it. Another thing: please note that the withdrawal button in DirectResult program is disabled on Saturdays and Sundays because of their alleged Forex trading so you will not be able to request withdrawals on non-trading days. Also the admin mentioned the Japanese official holiday that will occur next Monday but he said it would not affect the profits that will still be credited on members’ accounts. That would be strange how the national holiday in Japan could affect a program allegedly registered in the Seychelles but anyway, here is the latest update from DirectResult (will be reviewed by MNO blog on Monday):

Of course, the stats can’t be verifiable and have no affect on the daily rates which are fixed anyway. YesICanSurf (reviewed here) has been paying me for one and a half months already and I had no complaints about them so far. That’s pretty good for an autosurf program if you ignore the fact that it’s also a low-ROI program that can therefore possibly last for months. The admins of YesICanSurf has the goal of achieving 1,000 members by the beginning of August. I think they will be lucky in this if the members help them in promoting the program more actively. After the awful collapse of GoldenPathFunds which I never even got to review properly and seems to be dead after the first DDoS-attack (probably affected the cashflow) I realized that it’s time to make some changes on MNO. From today I will be listing on my blog only serious programs with serious admins and not clowns who have absolutely no idea how to run an HYIP properly (like the admin of GoldenPathFunds). So those programs who would like to have a review on my blog will be more carefully selected. But all others will still be welcome to list their program on my monitoring page in the third category (I will decide later on how this third category will be named) but will not be reviewed on my blog. Interviews will be given only to the admins from my Personal Favorites list. I hope these measures will help eliminate bad programs with amateur admins as I really want to concentrate my efforts only in promotion of good quality programs. I think MNO has already reached a certain point where it’s better to pay more attention to quality than to quantity. I hope the results will be visible within the next few months when I predict the number of programs listed on my blog will reduce which help me to not waste my time on obvious scammers.
