BEWARE! THIS PROGRAM HAS STOPPED PAYING! PLEASE DO NOT INVEST!

Hi everybody! I hope you all had a good weekend. I myself added a couple of new programs to my monitoring list which I’m going to be looking into a bit more closely over the next few days. So let’s get started! For those of you who like longer term HYIP based games – though I guess it’s more accurate to say HYIPs where the term is determined by the investor and not the admin – I came across one program you might be interested recently called SilverDigger. You might remember I introduced it here on Saturday so before moving on to the day’s main news stories I’d like to take a closer look at it for you now.

What SilverDigger are offering is two plans that have a number of variations depending on how much you are willing to spend. One will make daily interest payments followed by slightly more of a high risk plan that makes weekly payments. I’m going to start with the daily plan because basically I think it’s the safer option in terms of getting more of your principal back to you in case of any problems, though long term it’s not necessarily the most profitable. However both daily and weekly plans only require a $5 minimum investment so in terms of financial risk it doesn’t have to be that big a deal unless you make it one yourself.

The plans themselves have no fixed expiry date. Once you join you will continue to be paid for either as long as the program survives or, because SilverDigger has an opt out clause until you decide to leave, whichever comes first. If you do decide to avail of the opt out clause and request your principal be returned be aware that it’s going to cost you a 30% fee, eg if you invest $100 they will only return $70 to you should you wish to leave, so be very careful when making your calculations because leaving too early will put you at a loss.

So moving on to the daily payment plan, it costs a minimum of $5 to join and makes interest payments on business days only, ie Monday to Friday. If you deposit anything up to a maximum of $500 then SilverDigger are offering you 2% interest per business day. That adds up to 10% per week which means you will need to be a member for a minimum of three weeks in order to break even – 30% in interest payments plus 70% of your principal. If you don’t intend leaving early and intend staying for the duration of the program it will take you 50 payment days (ten weeks) to break even. Everything after that is passive profit.

But really what you need to do is set yourself a target. What would you like to take from the program – and be realistic – then plan how long it would take to achieve that. Obviously the first and most important milestone for every HYIP player is to break even, but what do you want after that? For example if you want to double your money it would take 65 business days (13 weeks). That’s how long it takes to earn 130% interest, and then request the 70% principal to be returned. So make your own calculations from there.

Other (higher) rates are available for larger deposits, starting from 2.25% per business day if you invest between $501 and $1,000. This gives you 11.25% per week and means you will need to remain a SilverDigger member for 14 business days to break even if leaving early, 45 business days to break even if you’re not looking to leave early, and 58 business days to double your money (including the 70% principal return)

The big spenders prepared to gamble with between $1,001 and $5,000 – the maximum amount accepted by SilverDigger are offered 2.5% interest per business day, accumulating to 12.5% per week. That in turn means it takes 12 business days to break even if leaving early, 40 business days to break even if you’re not looking to leave early, and 52 business days to double your money (including the 70% principal return).

SilverDigger then offers you a series of options which will only make one interest payment per week on your deposit. It’s a bit more of a risk I suppose but I guess not everyone can get online everyday to make withdrawals so if that includes you then maybe you’ll prefer this one, especially as over the course of a week the payments are higher than the daily plans.

Deposits again start at a very basic $5 and for anything up to $500 the payment being offered is 11% per week. The same early withdrawal option is available to you here too with the same 30% flat fee being charged regardless of when you wish to leave. So just to break even will require staying put for three weeks as that will give you 33% in interest payments on top of the 70% principal return. But who joins online HYIPs just to break even? If you don’t intend leaving SilverDigger early then you will need to stay put for ten weeks in order to earn back an amount equivalent to your initial deposit and stay a member for 12 weeks in order to be able to leave with double your money.

A weekly interest rate of 12.5% is available on deposits starting from $501 up to a maximum of $1,000. It still take three weeks to break even (counting your principal if leaving early) though you will come out of it with a quite a bit extra compared to doing so from the previous 11% plan. If however you decide to stay put in SilverDigger you will need eight weeks to earn an amount equivalent to that of your principal in interest payments. In order to leave the program with double your initial investment you will need to wait for 11 weeks.

And finally for the serious players going in with between $1000 and the maximum allowed $5,000 SilverDigger are offering a weekly interest payment of 14%. Again in order to get out with at least the same amount that you put in will take a minimum of three weeks, however if you’re not actually leaving the program at all you will need to wait for eight weeks. If your intention is to double your investment upon leaving then that will take you ten weeks.

Payment options are fairly basic with just LibertyReserve and PerfectMoney accepted at the moment and nothing to indicate this is going to change anytime soon, despite the logo of GlobalDigitalPay being erroneously displayed. Interest payments to SilverDigger members are made manually so you need to log in and request it. Once done you are then asked to allow up to 24 hours for the admin to complete the transaction.

I’m a bit more enthusiastic about the security arrangements with SilverDigger than their payment arrangements. The hosting itself is fine, no complaints there, as it’s hosted an a dedicated Staminus server complete with support and DDoS protection from DdosWiz. The script is under license from GoldCoders and the website is also protected with SSL encryption. If you have any questions about that, or anything else about SilverDigger, then you can contact the admin by filling in your details in the support form found on the contacts page and submitting it.

There’s next to no information on the business activities of SilverDigger or what they’re doing with your money beyond a short and typically vague paragraph, none of which can be verified and none of which means a whole lot anyway. Their own description amounts to the “acquisition and development of high quality silver properties and mines” which you are free to quiz the admin about if you would like to see a more detailed and verifiable report about that. So as with any online HYIP let the buyer beware. Assess the risk and proceed accordingly, remembering to stay rigorously within sensible spending limits and to diversify your portfolio.

DAILY NEWS FROM THE INDUSTRY.

I had some concerns and reservations yesterday about a couple of short-term programs that delayed payouts for over 24 hours. I mean mostly DollarCommerce which delayed payouts allegedly because the admin attended some party and wasn’t able to process the withdrawals to LR from there. Despite that, withdrawals to AlertPay were still processed instantly so I had no choice and yesterday very briefly moved DollarCommerce to Problem status on MNO. However, within an hour of doing this I received an email from the admin of DollarCommerce Chris saying that he was back from the party and was processing the pending withdrawals. Well, that appeared to be true and minutes later I was able to see the money received to my LR account. So DollarCommerce is still paying and in my opinion the payment delays had nothing to do with cashflow issues, the admin just wanting to relax a bit over the weekend like any normal people would. I only wish Chris issued a newsletter warning about the possible delays to avoid issues with monitors and regular members. Anyway, I’m glad that payments are back to normal now and remind you that the program finally reached #2 on MNO monitoring and after 7 weeks online is still paying on three investment plans with payouts processed on expiry – 106% after 3 days, 115% after 5 days, and 140% after 10 days. The minimum to invest in each plan in DollarCommerce varies from $5 to $20 and the payments processors accepted are LibertyReserve, PerfectMoney and AlertPay. Of course, we should also remember that there are some programs like ReProFinance (reviewed here) which managed to last for a lot longer than any short-term program. So in the latest news issue sent to members today the admin proudly announced his program has been successfully running for over 8 months paying instantly to LibertyReserve, PerfectMoney and the recently added AlertPay on two investment plans – 0.8%-1.5% for 90 business days, and 0.9%-1.9% for 180 business days with the principal returned back on expiry. Although the achievement of ReProFinance is truly amazing and it’s currently ranked at #6 on MNO monitoring we should take into consideration that the rate of interest is extremely low and it takes up to 5-6 months to simply break even from your investment. So it’s all relative and two full 90-day cycles is not such a huge achievement compared to some short-term programs which managed to survive 10-20 cycles. But still it’s a very impressive achievement from ReProFinance compared to other low-ROI programs. Whatever longevity an HYIP has please always remember to deposit only what you can afford to lose because there is still a substantial risk involved. I think that another low-ROI program GorgonProjectInvest (reviewed here) is still doing really well and might provide some stiff competition for ReProFinance soon. Despite GorgonProjectInvest being listed on MNO for only five weeks it managed to climb to #9 on my monitoring. I think it’s largely due to the original concept of the program and secured website with a highly customized script and the perfect BlockDos protection. The program accepts five payment processors (LibertyReserve, PerfectMoney, AlertPay, Pecunix and GlobalDigitalPay) into three different plans with the principal returned on expiry: 1.9% for 30 days, 2% for 90 days, and 2.2% for 180 days. I think that the overall successful start of the program is mostly connected with the ability of its admin Paul who managed to reply all the questions put to him by MNO readers on my Live Chat, the full transcript of which can be found here. The strangest collapse I’ve seen recently in the industry came last night when GoldenShoesVentures went offline never to return using a website upgrade story as an excuse. Well, this happened before and I would not be surprised if the website was online and accepting new deposits. But what was the reason to invent some story about upgrading the site and take it down while it could stay online and accept new deposits while not paying anybody? I can’t answer that as to me it makes absolutely no sense which only proved that Grace (the admin of GoldenShoesVentrues) was most likely a first timer as she claimed. There could be another thing which I can’t confirm or deny since Grace stopped replying to my emails. There might have been some real problems with design implementation and since it’s obvious that her programmer was not experienced enough something went wrong which prevented the site coming back online. This is just my guess, of course, but considering that the downtime of GoldenShoesVentures exceeded 24 hours now I don’t hold much hope of its return. Please consider GoldenShoesVentures and don’t deposit any new money into it even if the site comes back anytime soon, because at this point it’s as good as dead. Here is the latest email from Grace which many of us received last night and which was probably a farewell email in disguise:

First I want to say that there is a slight delay with the new design but it will be ready in about 6hrs so from this evening, and you all will be be able to see it. My programmer who is also a final year student was very busy with school during the week and could not meet our deadline of yesterday but we have been working on it all night and we have made great progress so all should be ready later today. There will be no down times associated with this.
A lot of major hyip programmes have closed lately and the most prominent being SureFireSurf, the reason for their closure is something I dont really have an answer to and I am aware that a lot of GSV members were also members of SureFireSurf. I am sorry for your losses and the only thing we can do at this time is to learn from the experience. A lot SFS members panicked cos the Admin of SFS did not pay within the usual minutes that he did before. Even though SFS has in their terms that payments will be processed in 24hrs, people still went about posting in forums that their payments were delayed. The point is this, if people keep doing that, the only thing that it results to is that people start panicking and this will quickly bring down any programme.
I have been thinking lately and I have decided that to avoid this situation in GSV, I will from today hence forth keep to our terms that says that payments will be made in 24hrs hours. So if you make a request, the wait time for it to be processed will be 24hrs hours. Please do not email me and ask for your payment 2mins after you have made your request. I am trying to avoid a situation that might arise at some point in the future where members payments are not processed within the usual few minutes and people will start screaming on forums. That we processed your payments rather fast before was simply because we though it would be a good thing if you did not have to wait but it appears now that its not a good approach so we will now only send payments within 24hrs after request, this means that you should expect your payments to be process in or before 24hrs.
Please understand that we are working towards the longevity of GSV and I am taking these measures to avoid what has recently happened to several other rather good programmes.
Its also imperative to support us on forums and vote on monitors. I am quite disappointed that I send over 400 payments daily and only about 10 members even bother to post on forums and vote on monitors. I think that its really unfair as a lot of you in GSV are in lots of profits and the only way you can say thank you is to support us, this will also greatly help GSV to survive in this very difficult and volatile market. I plead with you all again to please take a minute of your time daily to vote and support us on forums after you have been paid.

It looks like the admin of AllianceAdvantage sent the promised newsletter explaining the reasons for the closure along with some refunds that were sent obviously only to AlertPay account holders. I hope he will be able to refund more than just AP members who were at a loss. Apparently, according to the admin’s version of events, the collapse started with HyipBanker’s problem status which was based on the misunderstanding of the AllianceAdvantage site being offline due to a series of short DDoS attacks. That alone was apparently enough to spread panic on major forums and was encouraged by some competitors of AllianceAdvantage who would be very pleased to see them close. Well, if what Jeff is saying in this email is true I feel very sorry for the members of the program who trusted their money to the admin. It only proves that the HYIP industry is not stable and the situation with one particular program which had a perfectly good status and a bright future today could change to problematic status with cash flow issues tomorrow. Unlike other admins Jeff found the time to explain in detail what went wrong so his members can make their own conclusions and maybe even learn some lessons for the future. For me the farewell update from AllianceAdvantage published below seemed to be revealing and I hope that the admin who already took the site offline so nobody could make any more deposits there will refund to as many investors as possible:
I am very sorry to have to tell everybody that the AllianceAdvantage website was closed the other day. It took me by surprise as I am sure that it did most of you as well. There were a few factors that led to the closing and I will list them here as briefly as I can.
The other day I had noticed that it was unusually slow and the website had not made any money at all that day and I thought it was really weird. I finished processing the withdrawal requests and the next time I logged in, I noticed that the situation was still the same and so I knew something was really wrong. I made sure everything was okay with the hosting and it was, so I went to the forums to see if I could see anything there.
I realized the start of the problem when I got to the AllianceAdvantage thread in the TalkGold forum. There was a member there that had made three comments and one of them referred to the HyipBanker monitor who had put AllianceAdvantage on problem status. This was his first post (as exact in quotes):

PROBLEM…..?????”
I had no idea, nor was I informed of this, so I was pretty shocked. I went back to my e-mail that I had already been to and checked to see if I had an e-mail from HyipBanker. I did not have anything, not even in my junk folder but by that point, others must have seen it and I guess the word started to spread as I started receiving multiple requests from members to release their deposits (the ones that were past the initial term and eligible).
I immediately e-mailed HyipBanker to ask them why they would put us on problem status?!?! In the e-mail, I explained to them that I had always paid them very fast and shortly after they requested their withdrawal and that I knew they had to be happy with the fast payments throughout the whole time we have been online. I checked the records in the payment processor and HyipBanker received their earnings payments right after their request on 1/27/2011 at 12:22 AM and 1/28/2011 at 5:46 AM. No requests were submitted on the 25th and 26th.
Why would they put us on problem status without e-mailing us, calling us or checking into the matter first? I sent the e-mail two more times that day and then I got a reply from them later stating that they switched us to problem status because they had went to the site and could not access it because of a DDoS Attack but that it was switched back soon thereafter. That’s all they said, and it was a one line reply.
I wish they would have e-mailed first, because had I known, I would’ve sent a support ticket to BlockDoS and they usually fix it in a matter of minutes. BlockDoS said that they had it fixed in a matter of minutes the few times we were hit with a DDoS Attack in the last few days, so I do not understand why they were so quick to change it. Like I said, if they would’ve e-mailed me, I would’ve taken care of it right away. I didn’t feel it was justified as we always pay them very quickly and most of the time in a matter of minutes. They never had to wait longer than a couple hours at the maximum.
I went back to release the deposits that were requested and processed the withdrawal requests. I still noticed that there were no new deposits and was again concerned, so I e-mailed BlockDoS and asked them to doublecheck our website and they said it was fine. I checked my e-mail and the news from the forum posting must have spread like wildfire because I was getting several e-mails asking about it and also several more e-mails requesting their deposit release. I could tell at this point that the situation was in full-blown panic.
I went in and released the deposits and processed the withdrawal requests. The release of the deposits alone that were requested were $9,000 but I paid them as they were requested and realized I would have to transfer some money to the payment processors soon. Knowing that that would not happen at least until Monday, I decided to transfer some excess money I had in one payment processor to another which would tide us over until then. I figured that the situation would be turned around or the panic would subside by then as I would send a newsletter and visit the forums.
AlertPay only accepts six exchangers (per their TOS) and so I wanted to e-mail the exchanger first to make sure that he could do it in the same day. I went to alertexchanger.com because it says on their website that they can do same day exchanges from Liberty Reserve to AlertPay including weekends. I couldn’t get a response from them at all that day and resent that e-mail a few times and contacted another exchanger as well. I just got the reply e-mail from alertexchanger.com this morning about two hours ago so it took over two days.
At that point, the withdrawal requests were coming in rapidly along with deposit releases because everybody was in full panic mode at that point. If AlertPay accepted more exchangers, I still think I could have gotten an exchange done and finished a transfer by Monday but I was still not getting any response at that point.
As things were looking pretty grim, I decided to go in and do the withdrawal request and deposit releases that I could and hopefully get an exchange at the last minute. It was then that I realized that it was prematurely over for AllianceAdvantage and that there was nothing I could do as the news had just traveled too fast and too far too quickly. I think it is just the way the industry is right now with everything that has happened in December and January especially with the programs that closed right after they started up.
The website still had not taken in any deposits whatsoever and at that point I did not want any more to come in, so I had to figure out how to stop the deposits without deleting our site because I still wanted to come back in and process withdrawals and send a newsletter etc. I still plan to do the money transfer and pay as many withdrawal requests and deposits as possible before I disconnect but I would not be able to do that if I removed the website. After researching it, I found out I could just redirect it to any site and so I just threw one up there to keep someone from making a deposit. This way, I can still login for a little while longer.
I talked with our hosting manager and he also told me that nobody had gotten any sleep the last night because almost all HYIP programs had gone under DDoS Attack several times throughout the night and day and that they were all busy fighting the attacks. He even said that the PTC sites were being attacked as well.
I know that when you are in business, it is always wise to knock out your competition but I never considered sending DDoS Attacks. Of course, I received tons of e-mails offering all kinds of underhanded services at good prices but never once did I consider them. My website was doing good and I did not wish any of the others any ill will. I received offers to send DDoS Attacks for a price by the hour. I even had an e-mail offer from a guy that said he could empty customers payment processor accounts by sending an e-mail to all of them and would split the proceeds 50-50. I have seen this happen before in e-mails I had gotten from HYIP programs that I had belonged to and then I knew why the admins claimed to have “had their e-mail database broken into”. Some of them get even worse than that with their shady and scam offers. The reason I am telling you all this is because I want you to know about it, so that you are aware of these things that go on in this industry. I’m not trying to turn you away from this industry, I just want you to be aware so that you can protect yourself.
We had planned for AllianceAdvantage to last for a long time and we were already making plans to ensure the stability of the program for the summer months as that is when the next slow period would be coming. If you would have asked me earlier in the week I would’ve had no idea that a full blown panic would have been launched via a monitor and forum that could not be turned around. I think the user that posted the forum posts is from the Money Evolution monitor and that is only my opinion. I definitely think he had an agenda. In two of his posts he seemed to be quite amused by the problem status and put hehe after two of his posts.
I also received a few e-mails from different members saying that they were taking abuse, back talk and threats of retaliation from other Admins for promoting AllianceAdvantage. I had one member state something similar to that because the other admins were mad that he was promoting the referral contest and urged him to stop.
If anybody knows anything more about what all led up to the start of this scare, and they want to let me know, feel free to e-mail me if you want.
I am waiting for a transfer of money now and will release deposits/withdrawal requests until it is gone. A lot of the WR have been processed but I am sure by now there are plenty more. I will do the best I can with the money that is available. I will be able to do a couple more transfers in a couple of weeks as the money becomes available to be transferred back to the payment processors, but by that point I will have to do them manually but I will leave something in the memo so that you’ll know who it’s from.
Lastly, I just want to apologize and let you know how sorry I am that the program ended prematurely. As far as I’m concerned, it did end prematurely and I thought it would go quite a distance and I am still shocked. I was tied to that website hour after hour and day after day and it became such a part of my life that I felt quite a loss when it closed. I’ll leave it at that, but it goes much further and I’m really going to miss AllianceAdvantage.
I made some good friends and met a lot of nice people. I knew when I got into this that I would be confronted with scammers but I didn’t know it would be to the extent that it was. I had no idea there were that many people out there that would rather work a 60 hour week scamming so that they would not have to work a 40 hour week job.
That being said, I don’t think I’ll be back as a HYIP admin. I know that most admins do not send a newsletter on their way out, but I felt an obligation to my members to let them know what happened. I know that it doesn’t make the situation any better. Thanks for reading.

Well, as you know HYIPs come and go and no sooner does one close than it gets replaced with another one. It’s how things operate in the industry, guys. Today was no exception as I have added two new programs to Premium listing on MNO. They will both be reviewed on MNO soon but meanwhile let’s have a brief look at them.

The first one is MidasGoldFund. The program has rather uncomplicated plans and offers 1.7%-2.7% for 30 calendar days with the principal returned on expiry. The second program that was just added to MNO today is four day old BentleyClub. The first payments on expiry should be processed soon because the shortest plan BentleyClub has is 110% after 4 days ($10 minimum to invest) while the longer-term plan (with a $30 minimum) has a duration of 12 days and pays 140% on expiry. There is another plan mentioned which the admin plans to introduce in a month (provided his program is still with us in a month) which will offer 150% after 20 days. What I don’t like about BentleyClub is the limited choice of payment processors (only LibertyReserve and PerfectMoney accepted at the moment) but I guess it’s all compensated for by a unique script which the program is operating on. Also the site is properly secured by SSL and is hosted on a dedicated Staminus server with DdosWiz protection.
