LibertyReserve is unstable for the third day in a row today. But nobody is surprised and for sure LR cannot be called a reliable payment processor anymore. So many breakdowns in such a short period of time is absolutely unacceptable for this kind of business where our money is at stake. If it continues this way many clients will eventually switch to other payment processors for sure. And since e-gold cannot be considered as a reliable payment processor for online programs because of blocking many accounts without reason, there are several options left. I would suggest using V-Money and AlterGold. They are not so popular yet but surely they don’t suffer from these outages which can affect the whole industry.

The whole situation is dangerous because many programs depend on constant new deposits in order to survive and continue to pay its members. Since LR is still the most popular payment processor, the whole industry is on hold whenever the LR site is down. There should be some way out of this ridiculous situation and we should diversify our investments in order for this industry to survive.

For me LR site is working fine right now but for many programs it’s still not accessible. For example, the admin of 12Daily.Pro Brian gave the following update today: “With the current instability of LR payment processor it is not possible for us to check incoming deposits or process payments. There is nothing we can do but to wait until it resumes stable work. Please note that E-Gold and AlterGold payments are processed with no delays so you might consider using one of these options for the time being.” But it seems now everything is back to normal for 12Daily.Pro as all the pending payouts have been processed. I was also paid to both e-gold and LibertyReserve today.

It seems that some programs can use this LR downtime as an excuse to leave. For example, there were reports on forums that ProfitsAddict didn’t pay to its members for over 24 hours. I haven’t been paid yet for today’s request to LR but I could understand it because some programs can’t access LR yet. But it’s completely unacceptable when AlterGold payouts are also delayed. It’s not typical for this program so I’m moving ProfitsAddict to “Waiting” status on my monitoring page. Please be careful with this program and don’t deposit now! Update: just got a message from the admin apologizing for the delay with payouts and stating that as soon as LR is online all the pending withdrawals will be processed.

Another program is also currently on hold. It’s OG Fund which went offline today and the admin just posted an update on TG forum about this current issue: “As you may have noticed we have been plagued by consistent troubles (DDoS attacks). We are looking for a permanent solution to this issue.” I hope OG Fund will be able to solve this problem soon and I will keep you updated.

For other programs that started in the last month, like V-Project, these constant LR outages also cause obstacles to normal functioning. So it was decided by the admin of V-Project Amanda that my interview with her will be published as soon as the LR site has been completely stabilized. I’d like to remind you that V-Project program is paying promptly and on time and you can read my review of the program here.

Some programs in an attempt to avoid LR downtime are trying to implement other additional payments. Among them is SafeAtom which admin made the following update today about adding E-Bullion as another payment processor in addition to e-gold and LibertyReserve: “The payment system LibertyReserve is recently unstable and e-gold isn’t enough reliable. Therefore we decided to accept payments also using E-Bullion. Now everyone is able to invest through E-Bullion.” I received all my pending payments to LR from SafeAtom today, by the way. The program is one of the best among low-ROI programs and has been paying me for more than two months already. The plan is 2% for 150 days with principal return at the end of the term. To know more about SafeAtom please refer to my review of the program published here.

Despite all the difficulties with LR there are some programs that don’t complain but just keep paying. Among then I can name Surf-Redefined which paid me again today to LR. There was some problem today with Surf-Redefined‘s website and for some time I couldn’t access my account but now the issue is successfully resolved and everybody has full access to their accounts. The admin sent an email regarding this temporary issue: “Sorry about the short problem our website had when members tried to login and they received a server error, it is now fixed. Right now, also doing security work to get the site more secure, for 1 hour you cannot upgrade your account yet, working on upgrade security now. After 1 hour, all will be back to normal and working as usual. Thank you!” I would like to remind you that Surf-Redefined is paying daily 9% for 14 days. After 15 days online it has more than 150 members and continues to grow successfully. The interview with the admin of Surf-Redefined can be read on my blog here.

Another surfing program I’m in 8DailyForever seems to be back on track after disabling the 2% for 75 days Test plan. If things prove to be going ok, I’ll publish a review of 8DailyForever tomorrow on my blog. Stay tuned for this as the concept of the site is really unique and I’m going to tell you all about it tomorrow!

To finish I would like to add that I’m not bashing LibertyReserve for being offline for such a long time, as you might think it sounds like I am. I know that new payment processors sometimes can’t cope with the difficulties caused by their own enormous growth and the DDoS-attacks made by their jealous competitors. It’s obvious that the success was highly unexpected for LibertyReserve staff but I really hope they can overcome these problems and remain the most popular payment processor for a long time ahead. Otherwise their competitors will not miss the opportunity to get their piece of the pie. But anyway the investors should only win from this competition. At least I hope so!

So in my opinion LR is not to blame for this situation. The weak programs will surely die because of that but the stronger ones will survive and prove to us that they are here for a long time. The law of survival of the fittest fully applies in this industry. I don’t know if it’s good or bad but it’s the law and the payment processors can make the life of online investment programs more difficult but they can’t stop the progress of the whole industry that will surely continue to develop. But in which direction? This we will see in the coming months. I’ll see you tomorrow on my blog!
