10/06/08. Selective Payouts from ProfitsAddict and More News

A very unfortunate event happened to one of my readers today. It seems that he invested more than $500 with ProfitsAddict but received only one payment. The admin of ProfitsAddict refused to pay him and sent him this email: “No, we paid lot of advance and luxury plan at the beginning, but the returns became too much to cover. We understand what you feel, but we really short of cash at the moment, most of our funds are on hold in some broker we invest, when we asked for withdrawal they want to investigate our account, your money is nothing compare to ours on my account with them! We are not pure ponzi program, some is really invested in bigger corporation. There are about 7 members which withdrawal request are pending, and we are asking the same deal with others. We promise when there is fund available we will clear some withdrawal request one at time. You may post in forums or votes everywhere you like, this program will close even sooner, you lost money, other lost money, we also lost money, looks like everybody happy… most program won’t even care to reply your message, but we do not want to cheat here, this situation just hard for both investor and us.”

But I was even more surprised when I received this email from the admin of ProfitsAddict after I kindly asked him to pay to my reader: “Judging from his previous act I don’t think he will just keep quiet after we paid him. We better use the money to pay other investor, btw 2 minutes ago we just done about 50 withdrawal request. We are happy to pay them, even though we realize ProfitsAddict won’t stay longer after this incident. We will pay as long there is fund left in our program. Some investors are supposed to be in profit, rite?”

I don’t like this approach at all and though ProfitsAddict is still paying other members I can’t recommend it anymore as even the admin himself admitted that the harm had been done already and it’s just a matter of time before ProfitsAddict will go down. And why should the admin put the blame on the members when ProfitsAddict didn’t deliver what it had promised? I think it’s quite natural that one would be angry if he’s not paid.

I really hope that ProfitsAddict can continue for some time but to make new deposits in this program would be suicidal in my opinion. So I advise you not to make any new deposits for now (especially more than $500). We will see if ProfitsAddict can continue like this. But admitting financial difficulties and moreover refusing to pay a member is a very bad sign in my opinion. Believe me, I don’t want ProfitsAddict to stop paying but I just can’t be silent when some disturbing facts became known to me.

Other news for today.

While working on my analysis of the new PerfectMoney payment processor (which will be published here soon) I decided to test it and made another deposit to SafeAtom today using this payment processor. 8DailyForever was down for the most part of the day and it’s still down for me. As I suspect it was a DDoS-attack and I just received the explanation from the admin: “This is a massive DDOS attack, intended to destroy us. As you know, they go for all the major programs. We were already on a DDOS protected server, but are moving to Level 2 protection today, so should be back very soon.” It seems now the program is available for many members but I still can’t access to my account. I will keep you updated about the situation with 8DailyForever!
