Beware! GoldenOakFund has stopped paying! Do not invest there!
Hi everyone! Hope you’ve all been having a good weekend so far. It was I suppose it’s fair to say a fairly mixed business week with the usual share of both good news and bad news. The thing about the HYIP industry though is every time a program closes there’s inevitably something else to take its place before too long. One such opportunity is a brand new long term HYIP called GoldenOakFund. I must say though that it feels a bit odd describing GoldenOakFund as a brand new program, despite that being an entirely accurate explanation of what it is. The reason being that I was in fact contacted by the admin several months ago (November I believe) before the project was ever even launched, so I can tell you this one has been in the planning and development stage for longer than most. No guarantee of success of course but it’s a ridiculous amount of effort to make if the intention was a fast scam, so I’d be hopeful the admin is more or less committed to running the program for as long as possible. Plus as a longer term HYIP the growth of GoldenOakFund is likely to be somewhat slower and more gradual anyway, so we’ll see how it plays out over the coming weeks and months. For today however let’s take a closer look at the finer points of GoldenOakFund and what they are offering investors, and see if you think they might be worth joining or not.
I guess the easiest thing about GoldenOakFund as far as review purposes are concerned will be their investment plans. Or investment plan I should say, as there’s only one available. It’s quite a straight forward choice for investors in that sense – you either like it or you don’t – but as far as longer term HYIPs go it’s a decent enough option that combines profitability with sustainability, the two most important cornerstones of any successful program.
Here’s how it works. You can join GoldenOakFund for a minimum deposit of $25. A bit more than the industry average but I think affordable for most industry players nonetheless. Once you’ve joined your money is then committed to an investment term running 200 calendar days, which is slightly short of seven months. While this is going on the members are offered a daily interest payout of 1.2% on their deposits. GoldenOakFund are including your principal as part of these payouts and so will not be returning it on expiry. By the end of the term then these payments should come to a total of 240%, which is made up of your own money back plus an extra 140% net profit for yourself. The maximum deposit allowed by GoldenOakFund by the way is capped at a $100,000 limit.
To take a practical example of how that might work out in financial terms then, let’s say you were to join GoldenOakFund with a $100 deposit. In return for that the admin offers you a daily interest payment of $1.20. This should continue for the next 200 days until such a time as you have earned back $240 in total. As the admin will be factoring your initial principal into those payments it means you have your original hundred which was yours to begin with plus an extra $140 on top for yourself. Granted it you might see this as a long wait, but the more important question is whether it can actually be achieved in the first place. It’s better after all to be promised a smaller payment you will receive than a larger payment you will not, right? Other than that another important statistic is how long it should take GoldenOakFund members to break even, as in earn back an amount equivalent to your initial investment. In this case you should do so after 84 days, which isn’t bad considering the overall length of the term is 200 days. So everything from day 85 onwards is pure passive profit. More of a marathon than a sprint I think you’ll agree but that’s the prevailing trend throughout the entire HYIP industry at the moment.
If you like the plan and think it might be worth the gamble then you’ll need to know about your payment options. Currently these are a bit limited but I don’t really think this is down to any lack of effort on the part of the admin. You can join GoldenOakFund using PerfectMoney, EgoPay, or BitCoin. You’ll notice SoldTrustPay missing from the list, however I do believe the admin applied for verification but was declined for reasons I am not aware of, something that’s been happening a lot these days. Payouts to members are made manually by the admin and will have to be requested from inside your private members account area. Once done you are asked to allow anything up to a further 24 hours for the transaction to be completed. Just one other quick point I need to make about the investment process with GoldenOakFund concerns the script. It works a little differently to most of the other programs you may be familiar with. So when you are joining the first thing to do is fund your wallet in the accounts area. Only then do you redirect your funds into your chosen plan. Yes, I’m aware that GoldenOakFund only have the one plan in the first place, but that doesn’t matter. If you neglect to move your funds from the wallet to the plan your investment won’t be activated and your money will just sit there doing nothing, and won’t start earning you any interest until you do this.
On the subject of design and security then, GoldenOakFund is running off a licensed version of what is perhaps the best by some considerable distance of the “brand name” scripts on the market today. This is of course ShadowScripts, which doesn’t come cheap but with a product of this quality you get what you pay for and is quite safe and dependable (read my interview with its developer here). Hosting is on a dedicated server with the support and protection of the growingly popular CloudFlare. For an extra layer of security the GoldenOakFund website is SSL encrypted by GlobalSign for safer browsing and more secure transactions. If you have any further questions for the admin or any account related issues you need to have dealt with then the program’s support can be reached by filling out your details in the online customer support form and submitting it through their contacts page.
As for the business side of things, or should I say the alleged business side of things, GoldenOakFund tell us they are involved with financing new companies in an effort to help them get started. Of course if they are charging those companies anything like the same rates of interest they are paying out then one suspects they wouldn’t be in business for very much longer, but then again I’ve never paid too much attention to the stories put out by HYIPs and am not about to start doing so now. And neither should you. Even if it were true there are still no guarantees on either your deposit or your profits anyway, treat this HYIP as you would any other HYIP – a gamble. That means setting yourself a sensible spending limit and sticking to it, and if joining GoldenOakFund at all then only do so if they are going to form a smaller part of a wider more diverse portfolio.
DAILY NEWS FROM THE HYIP INDUSTRY
BARCLAYSROYALCLUB INTRODUCTION
BarclaysRoyalClub has been on the MNO Basic List for about two weeks now, but today the admin has decided to upgrade to Premium Listing which entitles him to have a review and a possible interview on my blog after I give you a brief introduction today. BarclaysRoyalClub is offering a very attractive investment plan which pays you from 9.5% to 10.5% (depending on the size of your investment) for a duration of 20 business days. So in total you can get from 190% to 210% return on your investment which means your money will be approximately doubled by the end of the term as the original principal is already included and is not returned. The minimum to invest in BarclaysRoyalClub is $10 and lots of payment processors are available, including EgoPay, PerfectMoney, OkPay, BitCoin, Payeer, and even SolidTrustPay – a favorite among the majority of my readers. The only thing about STP deposits to remember is that once paid they are placed on hold and the admin has to approve them manually. However, the process of investing via other e-currencies in BarclaysRoyalClub remains fully automated as normal and the withdrawals are processed instantly which will be popular with most of you. Of course, the acceptance of SolidTrustPay should help spread the word about the program as well.
The BarclaysRoyalClub website looks really good by design and is available in both the English and Russian languages. There’s an extended validation Comodo SSL green bar certificate and it’s hosted on a dedicated server with support and protection by DDoSGuard. BarclaysRoyalClub has a valid license from H-Scripts which is becoming more popular with HYIPs recently. Over the first two weeks of monitoring for BarlcaysRoyalClub I have nothing but good things to say about them so far, and the instant withdrawals have been impeccable so far. Hope that continues for as long as possible and to learn more about the program’s features please check out the full review of on my blog tomorrow.
FINANC UPGRADED ON MNO TO STICKY LISTING
Financ (reviewed here) is yet another program to upgrade its listing on MNO today. This time though from the Premium List the admin moved his program to Sticky. Financ has been a really popular program among readers for some time now, staying in the Top Five Premium Listed programs for a while. Now the exposure for the program will be even higher as it moves above GoldenOakFund on the Sticky List and goes straight to the top of the pile. To explain Financ in a nutshell, they started back in October 2013 and have been paying now for four full months. They accept deposits via PerfectMoney and EgoPay starting from a $10 minimum and, as a rule, the withdrawals are processed instantly. All investment plans return your original investment on expiry and include 1.4% for 30 business days, 1.6% for 45 business days, 1.8% for 90 business days. Financ is also known for sending out some very lengthy updates as a part of their so-called Managers School and a couple of days ago I received the following article on how successful people stay calm. If you’re interested in reading it please see below:
“How Successful People Stay Calm
The ability to manage your emotions and remain calm under pressure has a direct link to your performance. TalentSmart has conducted research with more than a million people, and we’ve found that 90% of top performers are skilled at managing their emotions in times of stress in order to remain calm and in control.
If you’ve followed my work, you’ve read some startling research summaries that explore the havoc stress can wreak on one’s physical and mental health (such as the Yale study, which found that prolonged stress causes degeneration in the area of the brain responsible for self-control). The tricky thing about stress (and the anxiety that comes with it) is that it’s an absolutely necessary emotion. Our brains are wired such that it’s difficult to take action until we feel at least some level of this emotional state. In fact, performance peaks under the heightened activation that comes with moderate levels of stress. As long as the stress isn’t prolonged, it’s harmless.
New research from the University of California, Berkeley, reveals an upside to experiencing moderate levels of stress. But it also reinforces how important it is to keep stress under control. The study, led by post-doctoral fellow Elizabeth Kirby, found that the onset of stress entices the brain into growing new cells responsible for improved memory. However, this effect is only seen when stress is intermittent. As soon as the stress continues beyond a few moments into a prolonged state, it suppresses the brain’s ability to develop new cells.
“I think intermittent stressful events are probably what keeps the brain more alert, and you perform better when you are alert,” Kirby says. For animals, intermittent stress is the bulk of what they experience, in the form of physical threats in their immediate environment. Long ago, this was also the case for humans. As the human brain evolved and increased in complexity, we’ve developed the ability to worry and perseverate on events, which creates frequent experiences of prolonged stress.
Besides increasing your risk of heart disease, depression, and obesity, stress decreases your cognitive performance. Fortunately, though, unless a lion is chasing you, the bulk of your stress is subjective and under your control. Top performers have well-honed coping strategies that they employ under stressful circumstances. This lowers their stress levels regardless of what’s happening in their environment, ensuring that the stress they experience is intermittent and not prolonged.
While I’ve run across numerous effective strategies that successful people employ when faced with stress, what follows are ten of the best. Some of these strategies may seem obvious, but the real challenge lies in recognizing when you need to use them and having the wherewithal to actually do so in spite of your stress.
They Appreciate What They Have
Taking time to contemplate what you’re grateful for isn’t merely the “right” thing to do. It also improves your mood, because it reduces the stress hormone cortisol by 23%. Research conducted at the University of California, Davis found that people who worked daily to cultivate an attitude of gratitude experienced improved mood, energy, and physical well-being. It’s likely that lower levels of cortisol played a major role in this.
They Avoid Asking “What If?”
“What if?” statements throw fuel on the fire of stress and worry. Things can go in a million different directions, and the more time you spend worrying about the possibilities, the less time you’ll spend focusing on taking action that will calm you down and keep your stress under control. Calm people know that asking “what if? will only take them to a place they don’t want—or need—to go.
They Stay Positive
Positive thoughts help make stress intermittent by focusing your brain’s attention onto something that is completely stress-free. You have to give your wandering brain a little help by consciously selecting something positive to think about. Any positive thought will do to refocus your attention. When things are going well, and your mood is good, this is relatively easy. When things are going poorly, and your mind is flooded with negative thoughts, this can be a challenge. In these moments, think about your day and identify one positive thing that happened, no matter how small. If you can’t think of something from the current day, reflect on the previous day or even the previous week. Or perhaps you’re looking forward to an exciting event that you can focus your attention on. The point here is that you must have something positive that you’re ready to shift your attention to when your thoughts turn negative.
They Disconnect
Given the importance of keeping stress intermittent, it’s easy to see how taking regular time off the grid can help keep your stress under control. When you make yourself available to your work 24/7, you expose yourself to a constant barrage of stressors. Forcing yourself offline and even—gulp!—turning off your phone gives your body a break from a constant source of stress. Studies have shown that something as simple as an email break can lower stress levels.
Technology enables constant communication and the expectation that you should be available 24/7. It is extremely difficult to enjoy a stress-free moment outside of work when an email that will change your train of thought and get you thinking (read: stressing) about work can drop onto your phone at any moment. If detaching yourself from work-related communication on weekday evenings is too big a challenge, then how about the weekend? Choose blocks of time where you cut the cord and go offline. You’ll be amazed at how refreshing these breaks are and how they reduce stress by putting a mental recharge into your weekly schedule. If you’re worried about the negative repercussions of taking this step, first try doing it at times when you’re unlikely to be contacted—maybe Sunday morning. As you grow more comfortable with it, and as your coworkers begin to accept the time you spend offline, gradually expand the amount of time you spend away from technology.
They Limit Their Caffeine Intake
Drinking caffeine triggers the release of adrenaline. Adrenaline is the source of the “fight-or-flight” response, a survival mechanism that forces you to stand up and fight or run for the hills when faced with a threat. The fight-or-flight mechanism sidesteps rational thinking in favor of a faster response. This is great when a bear is chasing you, but not so great when you’re responding to a curt email. When caffeine puts your brain and body into this hyperaroused state of stress, your emotions overrun your behavior. The stress that caffeine creates is far from intermittent, as its long half-life ensures that it takes its sweet time working its way out of your body.
They Sleep
I’ve beaten this one to death over the years and can’t say enough about the importance of sleep to increasing your emotional intelligence and managing your stress levels. When you sleep, your brain literally recharges, shuffling through the day’s memories and storing or discarding them (which causes dreams), so that you wake up alert and clear-headed. Your self-control, attention, and memory are all reduced when you don’t get enough—or the right kind—of sleep. Sleep deprivation raises stress hormone levels on its own, even without a stressor present. Stressful projects often make you feel as if you have no time to sleep, but taking the time to get a decent night’s sleep is often the one thing keeping you from getting things under control.
They Squash Negative Self-Talk
A big step in managing stress involves stopping negative self-talk in its tracks. The more you ruminate on negative thoughts, the more power you give them. Most of our negative thoughts are just that—thoughts, not facts. When you find yourself believing the negative and pessimistic things, your inner voice says, “It’s time to stop and write them down.” Literally stop what you’re doing and write down what you’re thinking. Once you’ve taken a moment to slow down the negative momentum of your thoughts, you will be more rational and clear-headed in evaluating their veracity.
You can bet that your statements aren’t true any time you use words like “never,” “worst,” “ever,” etc. If your statements still look like facts once they’re on paper, take them to a friend or colleague you trust and see if he or she agrees with you. Then the truth will surely come out. When it feels like something always or never happens, this is just your brain’s natural threat tendency inflating the perceived frequency or severity of an event. Identifying and labeling your thoughts as thoughts by separating them from the facts will help you escape the cycle of negativity and move toward a positive new outlook.
They Reframe Their Perspective
Stress and worry are fueled by our own skewed perception of events. It’s easy to think that unrealistic deadlines, unforgiving bosses, and out-of-control traffic are the reasons we’re so stressed all the time. You can’t control your circumstances, but you can control how you respond to them. So before you spend too much time dwelling on something, take a minute to put the situation in perspective. If you aren’t sure when you need to do this, try looking for clues that your anxiety may not be proportional to the stressor. If you’re thinking in broad, sweeping statements such as “Everything is going wrong” or “Nothing will work out,” then you need to reframe the situation. A great way to correct this unproductive thought pattern is to list the specific things that actually are going wrong or not working out. Most likely you will come up with just some things—not everything—and the scope of these stressors will look much more limited than it initially appeared.
They Breathe
The easiest way to make stress intermittent lies in something that you have to do everyday anyway: breathing. The practice of being in the moment with your breathing will begin to train your brain to focus solely on the task at hand and get the stress monkey off your back. When you’re feeling stressed, take a couple of minutes to focus on your breathing. Close the door, put away all other distractions, and just sit in a chair and breathe. The goal is to spend the entire time focused only on your breathing, which will prevent your mind from wandering. Think about how it feels to breathe in and out. This sounds simple, but it’s hard to do for more than a minute or two. It’s all right if you get sidetracked by another thought; this is sure to happen at the beginning, and you just need to bring your focus back to your breathing. If staying focused on your breathing proves to be a real struggle, try counting each breath in and out until you get to 20, and then start again from 1. Don’t worry if you lose count; you can always just start over.
This task may seem too easy or even a little silly, but you’ll be surprised by how calm you feel afterward and how much easier it is to let go of distracting thoughts that otherwise seem to have lodged permanently inside your brain.
They Use Their Support System
It’s tempting, yet entirely ineffective, to attempt tackling everything by yourself. To be calm and productive, you need to recognize your weaknesses and ask for help when you need it. This means tapping into your support system when a situation is challenging enough for you to feel overwhelmed. Everyone has someone at work and/or outside work who is on their team, rooting for them, and ready to help them get the best from a difficult situation. Identify these individuals in your life and make an effort to seek their insight and assistance when you need it. Something as simple as talking about your worries will provide an outlet for your anxiety and stress and supply you with a new perspective on the situation. Most of the time, other people can see a solution that you can’t because they are not as emotionally invested in the situation. Asking for help will mitigate your stress and strengthen your relationships with those you rely upon.”
