22/09/2021. HYIP Admins’ Dirty Secrets (Part 17 – Piggybacking On More Successful Programs) and Daily News from the HYIP Industry
Hello everybody! Welcome again to the MNO blog where information comes first for over fourteen years now – the resource that truly cares about HYIP investors and not just the admins like so many others do. It’s here on MNO that I willingly share with my readers all the tips and tricks that might anger the scamming admins who try to dishonestly cheat newbies. All the HYIP Admins’ Dirty Secrets are being revealed as part of the series of articles whose previous instalments can be found on this page. Today there will be yet another article from the series published on the blog, but first there are some important announcements to make.
I’m pleased to see that after a long summer slowdown the HYIP industry seems to be back on an upward spiral once again. And I’m not talking about the new program that joined the Basic listing on the MNO monitor just today, but rather about the next big thing that my readers have been so eagerly anticipating and which has become the subject of heated debate on the MNO ShoutBox. Just yesterday I was contacted by the admin of said program whom many of you will have enjoyed getting great profits from earlier this year and before. He told me that he expected his new program to be officially launched sometime next week and prepaid for the best available Premium listing on the MNO monitor along with the tower banner on the blog for three months in advance. I suspect his new program will become another successful venture (there are no guarantees of course, but fingers crossed it will happen anyway!). So in order to be among the first to find out when the new potential hit is released why not subscribe to MNO blog updates by entering your email address on this page? Otherwise you may prefer to follow MNO on Telegram, Twitter or Facebook in order to have an advantage of being notified of the hottest online investment opportunities from famous admins before anyone else.

Don’t forget that you may discuss all the monitored programs and share your opinions on the HYIP industry as a whole on the MNO ShoutBox and vote in the polls on the MNO TalkBack page which is yet another way to get your opinion on important matters that involves HYIPs and cryptocurrencies.
By the way, I will be drawing the results of the previous MNO TalkBack poll along with posting a new question after today’s news section, so keep reading for that. For now though let’s get back to the main article’s subject – HYIP Admins’ Dirty Secrets.
In today’s article I would like to return to the subject of the previously published on the MNO Info page article about the piggybacking in the HYIP industry (click here to read it). By that I mean the admins of the less successful programs trying to extend their own program’s lifetime and invest all or part of the collected money into an industry giant or the one they would think has a better chance to become so in the future. That way they want to ensure that even if the stream of invested money into their own program is going to deplete with time they will still be able to stay afloat by paying existing investors for some period. The main advantage of such a stance from the HYIP admin’s point of view is that provided that the leading program pays on time it might help the program indeed and prolong its lifecycle. On the other hand, the main weakness comes from the fact that being fully or partially dependent on another admin who is now in control not only of his own investors’ funds, but of those from the smaller dependent program. That way the smaller program starts depending (fully or partially) on the bigger one which forces its collapse right after the main program falls.
I must admit that the practice of piggybacking on more successful programs was quite common in the HYIP industry a few years back, when we had a clear division of the leading program/s and several small ones that followed suit and sometimes “reinvested” funds into the more successful ones. That effectively caused a so-called “domino effect” when with the crash of the industry leaders we observed a few smaller ones going down in short consequence. Although that pattern was quite common back in the days of the industry being on its best shape, I believe now that we have lack of consistently performing leaders that concept is a bit outdated. Anyway, I will be asking your opinion on just how widespread that thing in the HYIP world now later on the MNO TalkBack page, so keep reading for that below.
The current state of the industry when focus switched over to cryptocurrencies the concept of a “domino effect” and its importance in the HYIP industry is less relevant. Still, investors need to realize that it is entirely possible that HYIP admins themselves don’t have full control over the finances investors trusted them with and are dependant on their own decisions to handle money. They might buy some promising cryptocurrencies and wait for their value to go up hoping to repay investors once payback time comes. They might also close up shop and run away with the money if they intend to scam fast. However, they may piggyback on other successful ventures, and investors should always remember that. Some admins got even so sophisticated that they reinvest the money received from their investors into several programs, thus piggybacking on many others and forming a diversified investment portfolio. That might somehow reduce the risks for them in the long term and make their programs last longer. But do you actually believe that such smart admins even exist anymore?
Of course, the whole model is a bit more complicated than the calculation I would like to give you to illustrate my idea of piggybacking on others’ success. However, for all intents and purposes it will suffice. Imagine an admin has gotten $1,000 from his investors and he has this money at his disposal for 30 days after which he has to repay $1,200 (20% profit). He then simply looks for a program from his competitor whose administrative skills he finds more professional and enough to run a hit for longer than he intends to run his own program. Then he reinvests this $1,000 into that program that supposedly pays 150% after 30 days, gets the money out if everything goes well and put the difference of 30% into his own pocket. Just due to his wise approach he reinvested the funds that were trusted to him by others and got $300 profit within a month by NOT risking his own money like so many regular investors have to do in order to stand a chance of profiting. Simple as that and it proves that piggybacking can be successful if the admin is lucky enough to predict that the HYIP he’s going to gamble on will perform well and bring a profit. In the worst case scenario, he simply loses his investors’ money, it is not his own after all!
I hope that from this example it becomes more clear that such practices can exist in principle. I’m not sure how widespread the strategy still is at the moment, but the fact that it used to be more common in the golden age of the HYIP industry is simply undisputable. I hope you found this article helpful and educational, and if you want to read more on the many various subjects from the HYIP Admins’ Dirty Secrets series please bookmark the MNO blog and check out the previous articles here. DAILY NEWS FROM THE HYIP INDUSTRY
MNO TALKBACK – RESULTS DRAWN AND NEW QUESTION POSTED
Lastly on my “to do” list for today is to look at the results of the most recent opinion poll on the MNO TalkBack page and replace it with a brand new question. More on that in a moment, it’s going to be connected to the blog post just written above on the age old practice of “piggybacking” from HYIP admins, something which definitely once did dominate the industry but is harder to spot these days. First though let’s see the old poll and get that out of the way.
Cryptocurrency these days is rapidly transforming from a sort of cult interest to mainstream popularity and can be found in the mainstream media more and more often. For example, it’s recently been reported that the parliament of El Salvador has legalized the acceptance of BitCoin. Well, maybe “legalized” isn’t exactly the right word, but they’ve passed a law that recognises the right of businesses and private citizens to use BitCoin as legal tender in their day-to-day transactions if they wish. Now, El Salvador might not exactly be a mighty powerhouse world economy but still, it sets a trend and acknowledges that it’s pretty pointless imposing laws that simply cannot be enforced. In other words if people prefer using cryptocurrency over whatever the domestic hard currency of your country is, the government might not like it but there’s not a great deal they can do to stop it. So roll with the punches as they say and learn to live with it.
In some ways you could even compare it to the legalisation of cannabis and marijuana. It all started with a few entry level police officers in The Netherlands complaining to their superiors that there was better things to do with their time and resources than chasing a bunch of utterly harmless hippies on their way home from a music festival. Fifty years later and places across Canada, the USA, and other countries are all following, slowly but surely one-by-one noting they are wasting their time and effort by even trying to ban a weed that grows in the wild and does less harm than tobacco or alcohol.
I’m drifting slightly away from the point here which is essentially that governments eventually give up on enforcing unpopular laws when something becomes widely accepted by most people as part of popular culture. Cryptocurrency has become just that, and there’s no point in denying it or thinking it will ever go away. The “genie is out of the bottle” as the always popular expression goes, and there’s no going back from here. With that in mind I posted the following question for MNO readers to think about: Will BitCoin eventually become a legal tender at some point?
I do at least try to remain neutral and impartial in most of the opinion polls on the MNO TalkBack page, after all I already know my own views but the point of the exercise is to find out yours. A 63% majority of you voted “Yes, it will, it’s just a matter of time until it actually happens”. The remaining 37% of you take the opposite view that “No, it won’t, power elites will never lose control over finances”. I can see a certain argument in there that it’s easier for governments to impose penalties on businesses using cryptocurrency than on private citizens, at the end of the day though there’s not much you can do to stop a tsunami which is what the use of cryptocurrency is becoming.
For the next question on the MNO TalkBack page then let’s return to the subject of “piggybacking” as discussed above. In private conversations a number of HYIP admins admitted to the practice, but it was very rare that they would say so in public. Going back in history there was a couple of programs that were almost like money making factories for their members, and it happened that either other HYIP admins were investing heavily there or else the big players themselves were operating smaller feeder style HYIPs to support the finances of the main program.
The thing is though that I can’t really see many obvious opportunities to do this anymore. I’m sure HYIP admins would do it if they knew where the best chances to make money are, I’m also sure that HYIP admins are less capable of identifying these things when they arise.
How widespread do you think piggybacking is in HYIPs?
The options are pretty simple, it’s a straight yes/no question. Please select from the following answers, whichever one comes closest to matching your own personal view:
– Almost every single admin does it to some extent
– It’s a thing from the past which nobody does anymore
Remember of course that there’s no right or wrong answer there, we have no way of knowing what admins genuinely do with invested money. Apart from eventually scamming it I suppose! I’m just curious as to how many of the MNO readers think the HYIP industry still moves in such a big circle. To be honest my own answer here would be I genuinely do not know, that’s why I’m asking the question in the first place. So thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time and effort to vote, remember it’s totally anonymous, confidential, and untraceable though you are welcome to discuss the topic if you wish on the MNO ShoutBox.
Voting buttons can be found on the MNO TalkBack page here, and will stay open for at least another week from the time of writing.
