Hi everyone! I’m finally leaving Switzerland today after a wonderful couple of weeks and can only say to anyone who has never been there to definitely move it up your list of things to do. Even the train journeys here are magical. At the moment I’m writing from a comfortable chair and a huge window on the OBB Railjet train to Austria watching the mountains and the Alpine streams and lakes pass by. I also managed to spend a day in Liechtenstein, which before yesterday was probably the country in Europe I knew least about. So anyway today I’m moving on to Salzburg for a little while, which is no doubt a city than any lovers of classical music reading this will know about. Fans of cold war spy movies might know it as well!

But as it’s a kinda long train ride I want to take advantage of the spare time and bring you up to date on one of the latest additions to my monitoring page now that I’ve had time to study them in a bit more detail. It’s called CurioHunters (curious name!) and it’s a recently launched long term HYIP. They’ve been online for the last two weeks now but when you see the length of the investment plans and the moderate returns on offer you’ll agree that you can still consider them brand new.

The program is based on the idea of investments made in antiques and the arts. CurioHunters meaning (I guess) curiosity hunters. And then the plans on offer have names relating to to that. You have a wide enough selection of them to think about, but basically they are broken into two categories – plans that make daily payments and plans that make weekly ones. Following that the amount you will earn is based on the amount you are prepared to risk.

So starting with what is traditionally the most popular choice, CurioHunters have four plans that make daily payments. Please note that I’m referring to business days only here, so payments will only be processed from Monday to Friday. Payments will be credited on weekends only if you join one of the weekly paying plans, eg join on Saturday and get paid on Saturday.

The first plan runs for 150 business days (30 weeks) and is called The Esthete Plan. CurioHunters require a very modest investment of just $10 to join so you don’t need to go spending the price of a Rembrandt or a Van Gogh in order to play, (that bit comes later, lol!) In return for this you are offered 1.1% interest per day from Monday through Friday. This would get you a weekly return of 5.5% and allow you to break even after 91 payment days. By the time the plan expires you should hopefully have accumulated 165% in payments which can then be considered profit once your principal is returned. Maximum spend is $999.

In more practical terms therefore a $100 investment here gets you $1.10 per business day, allowing you to earn $5.50 per week, your initial hundred back in 91 business days (just over 18 weeks), finish up with $165 in profit and then have the original $100 returned on top of that.

Other plans make somewhat higher payments but will most likely be considered too expensive to make them attractive for the average HYIP player. But I guess that’s really a decision best left to yourselves so I’ll run through them here for you anyway.

The next daily payments plan from CurioHunters is called The Art Collector Plan and deposits start at a hefty $1000 minimum. It also runs for 150 business days and makes interest payments of 1.3% from Monday to Friday. That will see you break even after 77 payment days and finish with an amount totaling 195%, a figure that can be considered as profit only after your principal gets returned as is promised. Maximum spend is $4999.

CurioHunters next plan starts at a $5,000 minimum so it’s fair to say it’s getting pretty serious now. It’s called The Antique Dealer Plan and it too runs for 150 business days, making payments from Monday to Friday of 1.6% interest. That would see you break even after 63 payment days and finish with payments amounting to 240% of your principal, which is then returned. Maximum spend is $19,999.

And finally if you happen to be one of those people I mentioned with the price of a Rembrandt or a Van Gogh to spare the CurioHunters offer the eponymous Curio Hunter Plan. As it costs $20,000 to join and no maximum I guess this is really for information purposes only, so the daily rate of interest is 1.9% per business day for a term of 150 business days and your principal is returned on expiry.

In a confusing move the CurioHunters admin has given the very same names to the weekly plans as he has to the daily plans. To avoid any misunderstandings I’ll just refer to them here as numbers one to four.

So just like the daily payment plans, CurioHunters weekly plans also run for 30 weeks, just this time they make one payment per week. On deposits starting from a $10 minimum you can earn 6% interest per week for the term and then have your initial deposit returned on expiry. The maximum investment allowed is $999.

In more practical terms that means a $100 deposit would get you $6 per week, see you break even after 17 weeks, finish with a total of 180%, and then have your initial deposit added to that.

The second weekly plan is for the more serious players prepared to spend from $1,000 to $4,999.it also runs for 30 weeks and pays 7% interest per week. An investment here would allow you to break even after 15 weeks and finish with a profit of 210% in addition to your principal which is then returned.

For deposits ranging from a $5,000 minimum to a $19,999 maximum CurioHunters are then offering a weekly interest payment of 8.5% per week for 30 weeks. Your principal is returned on expiry in addition to a final profit of 255%. Prior to that you should have earned an amount equivalent to your principal back after 12 weeks.

And finally for those wealthy art collectors we mentioned, CurioHunters have one final plan open to deposits of $20,000 and no stated maximum. If that’s affordable to you then congratulations, but I doubt very much you play the HYIPs market all that much! But for information purposes you are offered 10% interest per week for 30 weeks, and your principal returned on expiry.

Payment options from CurioHunters are a bit more extensive than the usual long term online HYIP. The usual favorites of LibertyReserve and PerfectMoney are there as always but (fairly) rarely for a longer term program they also take AlertPay. Payments are manual so will need to be requested. The admin asks you allow up to 24 hours for your payment to be completed, but do keep in mind that if you are in one of CurioHunters daily plans then payments will not be made at the weekends.

Compounding is also allowed and while I’m not the greatest fan of the practice myself (I prefer diversifying to compounding – just a matter of personal taste) if you like it then you’ll be pleased to see it offered.

CurioHunters has quite an eye catching fancy design, is running on the ever popular GoldCoders script and is hosted on a dedicated server from Dragonara with SSL protection installed. There is a phone number in the UK though I believe that this is just a message taking service and I can’t confirm that they phone you back if you ask them or not. In any event Skype, ICQ, email and live support are all available on the website so you can contact the admin at any time and by any of the methods you prefer.

Odd as it may sound CurioHunters aren’t the first online HYIP I’ve come across to say they’re dealing with fine arts and antiques. In fact they’re not the second one either. But none of them did all that good a job in convincing me they were genuine and CurioHunters are no exception. They do have a certificate of incorporation as a registered business in The Seychelles, and while not a difficult thing to obtain it does at least show some initiative in adding the appearance of legitimacy. But as with any other internet based HYIP they’ll have to do a bit more than that to convince me they’re real but that bit is up to you to investigate should it be important (it doesn’t bother me that much one way or another).

Like I’ve said before, worth a few dollars as long as it’s at a sensible level and part of a larger more diverse portfolio.

DAILY NEWS FROM THE INDUSTRY.

Recent improvements in UniteTrade have been welcomed by members who until recently weren’t used to getting such lengthy updates on an almost daily basis. I remind you that UniteTrade started very discretely over six months ago and during that time gained almost universal recognition among members and promoters alike. It looks like the short message from PremiumGain sent out today “Hello. From now on we have phone support and Live Chat 24/7. +(1)646-5188127” was the last in the queue of updates since the program turned into a scam already. The instant withdrawals was switched off suddenly for both payment processors and I haven’t received any reply from the admin regarding this. Moreover, I was stunned to receive some complaints from a fellow blogger who was scammed as the admin of PremiumGain allegedly persuaded him to change his API settings to enable him to withdraw all the money from his LR account. Although I have (some!) sympathy for this man who got scammed I find it strange that he would follow the instructions sent to him by the admin of this HYIP game without a shadow of doubt. I don’t believe it’s advisable for us to listen to other bloggers experience if they themselves continually get scammed by HYIPs, even if they tell you they are experts. Anyway, it looks like PremiumGain is gone already having been online for 9 days so only the members investing into 1 and 5 day plans could be in profit. Well, this only proves that we should be extremely careful with all short term programs that can end any time and also very unexpectedly.

One of the major profitable programs RedOrchidInvest has been running since last year and monitored on MNO since February, 2010. It gained universally positive recognition from investors the world over paying on ten lucrative plans (read my review here to find out more about) and generously sharing its profit with its best promoters. What’s a Margin Call and Should I be Afraid of one?
No you shouldn’t be afraid! A true Fx Ninja has NO FEAR!
A margin call is what happens when you have no money left in your account. To protect you from losing more money than you have your broker closes out your positions. This means you can never lose more money than you have in your account.
Before learning what a margin call is you need to know the definitions of two terms.
Used Margin: The amount of money in your account that is currently used in open trades. If you have $6,000 capital in an account and you have $1,000 in an open trade then your used margin is $1,000. If you have $3,000 capital in an account and you currently have $600 in an open trade your used margin is $600.
Usable Margin: The amount of money in your account minus any open trades. We will continue from the same examples used above. If you have $6,000 capital in an account and you have $1,000 in an open trade your usable margin is $5,000. If you have a $3,000 capital in an account and you currently have $600 in an open trade your usable margin is $2,400.
When your usable margin reaches $0 your broker will automatically margin call you. With good money management this should never happen but newbies can slip up.

I would like to introduce a new program listed on the Premium list on MNO today called Famega. It’s a high quality long-term HYIP launched just three days ago but already a subject of controversy as some investors stated that it might be a new program from the admin of ANOI which was a project running back in 2008. Really, strangely if there are two contact links on the website and we will see that the two addresses of the project listed here are totally different. However, the admin already explained this to me and said that perhaps both programs shared the same designer, who forgot to remove the address belonging to ANOI. Quite possible in my opinion. Anyway, chances that we will find Famega‘s office in the US hover around zero so should be ignored by investors anyway. Otherwise, Famega looks not bad at all. It features a modified GoldCoders script, nice professional looking design and runs on a dedicated and protected server by XlHost. So far only LibertyReserve and PerfectMoney are accepted into the following plans: 0.6%-1.5% for 30 days, 1%-1.7% for 120 days, 1.6%-2% for 240 days. AlertPay and Bank Wires are also to be added soon according to the admin. Please note that the interest is fixed on all plans and depends only on the amount deposited. Interest is only credited on business days and you will be able to withdraw your principal at the end of your investment period (after 30, 120 or 240 days respectively). I will have a closer look at Famega in the upcoming review so keep an eye on MNO for that.

Another short-term program ProsperityStructure was added to MNO two days ago and today the admin upgraded his program to Standard listing. That means that it will be reviewed on MNO soon. Tonight I’ll just give a brief introduction to it. ProsperityStructure accepts only LibertyReserve and PerfectMoney which you can invest into three plans: 106%-110% after 1 day, 119%-125% after 2 days, 132%-140% after 3 days. The minimum to deposit into each plan is $10 and the withdrawals are processed instantly.
